Hi Im Duane!! Im due to take the first coaching badge in April and am so glad I found this website! Im wondering about prospects after acheiving pt1, pt2 and pt3 cos am looking to complete them quickly as the mrs is starting to moan heavily about me getting a job. I have played at a professional level of football but stopped due to eye injury so now wanna become the greatest coach in the world!!!!

level 1 is a synch, if you cannot pass that one then coaching is not for you..........but you probably will cos its very easy. level 2 is a big step up from level 1, it is suggested you get some coaching experience before you take it, or at the very least watch some coaches and get advice. Be prepared to do a lot of work as a volenteer, once you have level 1 start approaching youth teams etc or set one up with somebody and get into a league. this will give you the ammo you need to begin a level 2. I would prob say that level 2 would be a good enough level to approach most clubs at a volenteer or part time level, so you would be getting some cash, but not much to write home about. Do not expect to just pass level 2 and 3 without putting any effort in, life just doesnt work like that.

good luck

In the next few years the ammount of coaching opportunites should be increasing due to the olympic games coming over here. The countries gona go sports crazy!

Also, if you want to get ahead of the coaching competition you might want to consider doing some kind of sports science course which would give you another opportunity to work you way into the football industry, maybe as a physio?

I'm pretty sure mourinho did a sports science course.
