Everton v Sunderland - 17th March |
David Moyes upset many Everton fans by dropping 6 players from
the first team for the local derby against Liverpool last night which they went on to lose 3-0. Sunderland have continued to progress since Martin O'Neill took over and currently sit in 8th place in the PL having just played a fierce contest against Newcastle and beaten Liverpool. Any comments or predictions? - This match will be live on ITV1 with a 12.45pm kick off. |

So we are going to take this one serious? After the debacle of tues night derby i sincerely hope Moyes has remembered we like to win games and not just give up the ghost.
I suspect we will see a number of changes again, Jelavic must come in as does Cahill. Heitinga and Distin must team up again and get rid of Jag out of the team as we look disjointed again. Howard Neville Heitinga Distin Baines Coleman Fellaini Ossie Drenthe Cahill Jelavic Everton 2 Cats 0 |

What price a Trophy? |
Can Everton do it? Everton have gone many years without winning a trophy. If David Moyes had been a manager at almost any other club, would he still be in charge? I doubt it.
There would be a minimum number of coaches that would be in a job with Everton's record. It just goes to show that the Have's would have got rid and the have not's cant afford to get rid. What David Moyes has done at Everton with the amount of cash available is nothing short of a miracle. With the teams left in the FA Cup the Blues must be worth a punt. |

Everton 1-1 Sunderland Sunderland started like a house on fire but Everton got back into it and it was pretty even by half time. |

Well i'll tell you what, Wayne Bridge has officially got the worst hair do in the premiership!
The man used to be quite stylish ,but was is he on with that shocking mess? |

Everton 1-1 Sunderland Everton were the better team in the 2nd half but were just unable to find the winner so there will be a replay at the Stadium of light. Any comments? |

Easily the better of the 2 sides but we huffed and puffed too much espeically in the 2nd half but still did just enough to have won this. Should have had 2 clear pens and i thought the ref was shocking throughout. Be an interesting replay with them having their 2 best players back but hopefully we will have Gibson back in the middle and push Ossie out wide

On a shoestring budget and consistently getting the team into the top 7. 1st club to break the monopoly of the top 4 under his stewardship. Shocking comment that |

WellToffee,
it looks like we won´t see your team much longer. I was hoping to see them playing the real Blues, but it is all in vanish. |

Based on what? |
Perhaps, Sunderland´s home advantage ? |

Prefer to look at Evertons superior team personally. Didnt know the fans or the stadium could score a goal |
What happened to your superior team, today then ? Home crowds usually motivate their teams. Have you not heard of it ? |
Motivate yes, dont score goals though. We were off our game today, we will know we have to be on it next week. Home crowds can also be a disadvantage especially in the North East if things arent going their way |

Re: What price a Trophy? |

I think you've misunderstood me toffee. What I was trying to say is something like this: If David Moyes had been manager at the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea of Arsenal, because they hadn't won a trophy in quite a number of years he would have had the sack. It wasn't meant in a derisory way. I was trying to say that if the mega clubs had had a manager that hadn't won a trophy they would have got rid of him. |
Well Assene has not won anything for years & he is still poking around at Arsenal.

Re: What price a Trophy? |

I doubt though he would be trophyless with United, Chelsea and Arsenal's money |

Re: What price a Trophy? |

Most likely, he would not.
However, at stingy Arsenal, who knows ? |
