I just recently found this site and was wondering if anybody happened to catch the tune that was being played in the stadium while France was receiving their 2nd place medals? It was quite catchy and I was straining to hear it over the announcers on TV

Does anyone know the song they were playing when Italy was celebrating after they recieved their trophy? It was before their national anthem. I heard somewhere that it was apart of L'Italiana in Algeri but I'm not certain. The song was played on the trumpet I believe.

I think that this was the song- Gianna Nannini & Bennato - World Cup Italy 1990
