Everton v Newcastle |
|
Everton had to settle for a 0-0 draw with relegated Wolves , it was frustrating for Everton who mostly dominated the match and had a goal disallowed for offside when replays showed that perhaps it was not , manager David Moyes said after the game . "The players are disappointed in the dressing room. We had enough dominance in possession and created enough opportunities definitely. We just couldn't take that defining moment, whether it was the pass or the final shot, and obviously we had a really good goal disallowed".
Newcastle`s hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season took a dent as they were beaten 2-0 by Man City , however manager Alan Pardew could not criticise his players for this game or for most of this season .." We knew the first goal was going to change everything , we didn't get it but we had a few chances to . It was a great performance by my team , we have great potential at this football club. We are back where we should be, we have tradition and history that few clubs can match " . |

This could be a quality end of season affair with Everton in 7th place and Newcastle in 5th.
The Toon need all 3 points and Arsenal and Tottenham to both slip up and they could grab a top 4 spot! What ever happens on Sunday I think they have had a wonderful season and Alan Pardew has done a great job. If The Toffees had started the season better who knows maybe they could have also been challenging for a European place? Considering their lack of money I think to finish 7th and above rivals Liverpool should also be considered as a success. Everton 1-2 Newcastle |

Everton still have to win to be sure of finishing above Liverpool ...if your prediction is correct then Liverpool will only need a draw to finish above them on goal difference . |

It is with great sadness i write this preview, as after 28yrs of being a season ticket holder i will be entering the Royal Blue gates for what is probably the last time due to personal reasons so i hope its a good one.
Baines is back (although i would be surprised if he is brought in, might as well leave him to rest) as are Gibson and Neville. So i can see a couple of changes to the team Howard Hibbo Jag Heitinga Distin Ossie Gibson Neville Pienaar Fellaini Jelavic Everton 2 Newcastle 1 Thanks for the memories, its been fun |

Alan Pardew
"Forget about Everton & Aston Villa, we have put ourselves in a similar position to Arsenal." So now he thinks he is on a par with an established top 4 side, the cheeky 1 season wonder nomark. If it wasnt for his chairman doing the sale of the century selling the greasy pony tailed waste of oxygen to Liverpool and Alan Carr dad he wouldnt have a side. Am sure Moyes will love this comment! |

I've never liked Pardew.
But I do like Newcastle. But I like Everton more. But I want to see Spurs fail.. Arrrggh.. |

I'm so proud of the Toon. 5th place!
All that jeering 3 years ago! Well, the Toon have REALLY shown all the mockers that we are certainly NOT a flying circus. When is at least ONE person going to eat humble pie??? |

Exceptional season for the Toon Army.
Congrats. Europa League to look forward to. You just have to look at Atlético recently to see how it's a quality tournament. |
