This is how football is. As a portuguese i wont bother being offended by most of the bad comments, pronounced by who doesn`t know how to lose. It happened the same way with Greece in the Euro. What matters is the victory. The match had little fairplay, but it started in the holland side, although i know it is no excuse. But when someone plays durty its hard for the other side not to do the same, specially when the referee as a parcial and very questionable judgement. Everybody knows the judge stimulated the war in the ground by loosing control of the game. But our victory is undeniable. And, i`m sorry, but Holland must accept that. As you (Holland) must accept that your players attacked liberally Cristiano to heart him, because you knew you couldn`t win in a clean way. And that had (bad) consequences for both sides, specially yours, because in stress every portuguese shows a lion heart and fights till the very last blood drop. Figo just did what he had to do. Pull out a red card, the same way you did. And he did it in response of your players low fairplay. Some portuguese actions weren`t correct, but we were never agressive before in other matches. We are a pacific team and a pacific nation. You innitiated it, and as Scolari said: Figo (and the rest of the team) are not Jesus Christ to give the other cheek. Besides all, it was the best game of this tournament and the victory most worthy and just.

Força Portugal! Menos ais, menos ais, menos ais, queremos muito mais!

here are my predictions for the quarters:
Eng 2 Por 1
Bra 3 Fra 1
Ger 2 Arg 1 (?) not sure on this one
Ita 1- Ukr 2

WHAT ARE YOURS???

this is considering standings, conditions of the teams, home turf advantage (in Ger case), etc etc etc....not going by favorites...this as if you are betting money on who will win the game, not going by your nationality nor your favorite etc...... Very Happy

Quaterfinals

Germany 0 Argentina 1

Italy 2 Ucrania 0

England 0 Portugal 2

France 0 Brazil 2

Semi-finals

Argentina 1 Italy 0

Brazil 2 Portugal 1

Final

Brazil 2 Argentina 0

It will be odd to see two south American teams in the final of a European hosted world cup, but this is my best bet.
