Aston Villa v Man Utd |
|
Aston Villa claimed a much needed win as they beat Sunderland 1-0 at the Stadium of Light , it was only their second win of the season and manager Paul Lambert was a relieved man after the match and he described it as a `massive performance` from his players after the game .
Man Utd repaced Chelsea at the top of the Premier League after beating Arsenal 2-1 at Old Trafford , it was a comfortable enough win and could even afford a missed penalty by Wayne Rooney , a goal conceded with the last kick of the game was not enough to spoil the day for Sir Alex Ferguson or the home fans as Man Utd continued their dominant record over the Gunners . |

I don't see this current Aston Villa side giving Man Utd many problems and Fergie's men should win the 3 points here.
Aston Villa 1-3 Man Utd |

On that note...Let's go Villa...let's go! |

Did you know that Aston Villa have won only one of the last 33 Premier League meetings with Manchester United (W1 D9 L23).
What a awful record! Any more comments or predictions? |

Despite Villa being awful, I really fancy them for this. 3-1 Villa.

I take my hat off to Hernandez - what an amazing talent.

Fergie is going to have a tough decision to make in his next match! Does he start Hernandez and if so who does he drop from the side if its between RVP or Rooney? I'm still undecided if the Mexican should be awarded a hat trick as his 2nd goal took a deflection off Vlaar. |

Rooney's supposedly 'injured' (hence why he's pulling out of the England friendly) so he might be benched the next game...
I was disappointed with this one....went through all the emotions...super excited when Villa scored their second goal and was really hoping they could hold on... RVP was class as usual....hit the crossbar 2 times I think. Credit to Hernandez for making something out of nothing. |

I think it's a peculiar position we find ourselves in.
We've been leaking goals, but so has every other top team in the league. Very weird. One thing is for sure, in Valencia we have one of the most effective wingers in the world. We have a strong group of strikers but we lack the midfield to dominate Europe. We are close. |
