Liverpool v Wigan |
|
Liverpool grabbed a point at Stamford Bridge after a 1-1 draw with Chelsea ....yes ..it was Luis Suarez who rescued his side with a second half equaliser ...he is now joint leading scorer in the Premier League with Robin Van Persie ...manager Brendan Rodgers said after the game "all credit goes to the players. The equaliser was the least we deserved. We were probably unfortunate not to win it at the end."
Wigan had their recent winning run ended after losing 2-1 to West Brom , it was a disappointing result for Wigan who were rather sloppy defensively ..allowing West Brom to score two quick goals in the first half ...Wigan pulled one back but it was not enough and manager Roberto Martinez was left frustrated with his teams performance .."We are frustrated with our performance". |

I remember that Wigan won this game 2-1 last season but don't think the same thing will happen again this time!
Liverpool to win 2-0 with Suarez and Gerrard scoring both goals. |

yes , i cannot see Wigan causing another upset at Anfield like last season , Liverpool have won only 1 game out of 6 at home though so you just never know for sure .....but i will go for a 3-2 win for Liverpool .

Martinez to show his worth....
Wigan 2-1 Liverpool to score first followed by complacency and then off course Wigan turning things around. |

Did you know that After winning seven and losing none of the first nine league meetings with Wigan, Liverpool have won none of the last five (W0 D3 L2).
Any more comments or predictions? |

Get well soon to Wigan's Ben Watson who had his leg broken during an accidental clash with Sterling.
I see that Suarez got away with an awful foul on Wigan's David Jones,he could well have been sent off for that if the officials had been doing their jobs. |
