Juventus v Chelsea - 20th November |
|
Chelsea got their CL campaign back on track with a very lucky 3-2 win against Shakhtar at Stamford Bridge.
Roberto Di Matteo's side now travel to Italy knowing that a draw would go a long way in keeping their hopes alive. Juventus are in danger of going out the tournament and really need the 3 points as their final game is away in Ukraine. Any comments or predictions? - Will RDM's Blues get that point or will the Old Lady be too good for them in Turin? |

Not even gonna guess the score, but sure ain't gonna be a walkover for Chelsea with the record that Juventus have.
Going for JUAN MATA, and also Oscar for the scorers. |

I think Chelsea will revert back to last seasons tactics and claim at least a point if they do. If not it should be an entertaining game as Juve have to go for it.

Torres has been dropped to the bench following his recent poor form while Hazard will play as a false No9.

Good idea switching Hazard inside, he doesnt track back enough and Cole gets exposed too much. Will be interesting to see what he offers up front though.

Its now Juve 2-0 Chelsea with about 30 mins to go.
It looks like the current CL holders might not make it out of the groups stages this time. |

Chelsea deservedly beaten and not for the first time in Europe this season. Had a couple of chances but didnt create as much as perhaps they should with that attack. Mikel went missing a bit and it meant Ramires had to put in more work than he does usually (which is a ridiculous amount). Think he was the only Chelski player to show up tonight. Juve looked the better side both defensively and offensively tonight and deserved the win and the scoreline doesnt flatter them.
That said cant see them going to the Dombass and winning so Chelski should go through in 2nd place. |

FT
Juventus 3-0 Chelsea 1-0 Quagliarella 38 2-0 Vidal 61 3-0 Giovinco 90 Chelsea were slightly unlucky with the first 2 goals which took wicked deflections. Juventus played well though from start to finish and deserved the victory in their new stadium. RDM was really missing Terry and Lampard and the current centre back partnership between Luiz and Cahill just doesn't work. Any comments on tonights result? |

The amount of chances Juventus created was ridiculous, it could have been 5 or 6 nil. Yes, Chelsea were unlucky with the first goal but they had 2 shots cleared right of the line.
