Aston Villa were given a 5-0 pasting by Man City at the Etihad and are now in the bottom three of the table , it was a bad day for manager Paul Lambert who criticised the assistant referee Adrian Holmes after he signalled for a penalty against Villa that led to them going 2-0 behind , the FA charged Lambert with "language and/or behaviour amounting to improper conduct" .

The FA have since fined Lambert £8,000 and banned him from the touchline for the game against Arsenal .

Arsenal produced another remarkable recovery after going 1-0 down to Tottenham at the Emirates , thanks to former Arsenal hitman Emmanuel Adebayor getting himself sent of for a wild challenge on Santo Cazorla ..Arsenal went on to win 5-2 and move above Tottenham in the table .

This current Aston Villa side could be relegated this season and Arsenal should pick up 3 comfortable away points.

Aston Villa 1-3 Arsenal

Did you know that Aston Villa have won none of their last 13 Premier League home games against Arsenal (D6 L7).
Any comments or predictions?

Gibbs is back at left back while Jenkinson comes in at rightback while for Villla Darren Bent is fit but doesn't even make their squad.

i think the less comments said the better , it was a poor performance by Arsenal ....shows how we still need to beef up our squad with some quality players in january ....a shocking miss by Kosceilny just on half time ...in the end we nearly lost the game .
