Its been a miserable week for Aston Villa who were knocked
out of 2 cup competitions in one week by Bradford in the Capital One and Millwall in the FA Cup.

Newcastle signed 4 more French players to bring their contingent at St James Park up to 15 on their books.

Do you have any comments or predictions for this bottom of the table relegation six pointer?

Did you know that Newcastle have won just three of their 18 Premier League matches since Alan Pardew signed a new 8-year contract (W3 D4 L11).

Meanwhile Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert received the dreaded vote of confidence yesterday from Randy Lurner and his board.

Any comments or predictions?

I hope Pardew plays Gouffran today. I have great faith in that chap. He has scored 8 goals in 20 starts in Ligue 1 this season, and had 1 assist.

The obvious call on this one is a draw, but Villa have been so dreadful lately I'm not so sure they can halt the freefall decline. They haven't been buying new players, and Lambo looked a bit shell shocked at the end of the latest disaster. Doesn't look like a man who knows how to dig himself out of this one. Villa 2 Necastle3

Well hello, penalty for the Villans and it is 1-2. Villa looking a lot more organised in the second half. Those punters that left at half time were possibly a bit premature!

A massive win for the Toon, an assist for Sissoko on his debut and a dent in the hopes of all those people who would love to see that Toon relegated - not going to happen!

TOON TOON BLACK AND WHITE ARMY TOON TOON BLACK AND WHITE ARMY!!!!!

Pardew is going nowhere!
