Here you go again. Anyone's fault but your own lack of quality on the football field. Ronaldo was PERFECTLY justified in asking the referee what he was prepared to do after watching an over-rated thug stamp his studs into his team-mate's nuts!!!
It is with a complete bemusement that I've watched a poor team being heralded as potential winners of this cup. They ARE NOWHERE NEAR the quality required at this level. Yet some of us are forced to listen to a jingoistic and xenophobic media demand the trophy is rightfully theirs. Plotting who they'll meet in the final without any respect for the teams that are likely to get in their way. When all else fails highlight how certain individuals in the foreign team playing them have fared poorly in the English premiership, as if that is the sole barometer of world class players. No doubt the English media will villify Ronaldo and he'll be booed at every ground in England next year. Yet I suspect these same fans will have reacted with disgust when Perugia sacked the South Korean player who had the temerity to knock Italy out of the 2002 tourney, or even the thugs who killed Escobar when he scored an own goal while playing for Columbia. In summary. Get over it. Ronaldo is a world class player who has doen nothing wrong. Now some of us can enjoy the world cup without listening to a deluded English side-show. |

Shouldnt be stamping on other mens bits. Dont really care about his age. Its not a nice thing to do, and for that itself I think deserved a red card.
Like I said I think it did. Not it did. Its just my opinion mate. |

he didnt stamp Carvalho at all. The replay shows Carvalho pulling Rooney ontop of himself (Carvalho) and Rooney as all good English footballers do, tried to stay on his feet and was forced to take a step back. Of course Carvalho had dived (as usual) on the floor at this point and Rooney accidentally stepped (not stamped) on him.
The red card was for the nudge that Rooney gave Ronaldo because Ronaldo had stepped on his (Rooney) foot as he approached the ref. |

i know we lost and yea it was our own indaiquite play but i cant help thinking ronaldo has just signed his own death warrant as far as english football is consurned, the head butt on Rooney just before the match the couple of little roles , the whigning trying to get freekicks/yellow cards and then of course the Rooney incident. Theses are all the things that are going wrong with the game the next world cup will be a non contact event as you cant even run past a player as the wind it generates may knock him off balance and therfore give you a yelow card. the kids a cheat and the quicker he gets in his suzuki and sods off the better

i dont think so, Rooney is English, so he would have got up, been a bit winded and then got on with the match and everyone would be going on about how strong Rooney is and how he's the best player in the world |

Typical.....blaming everyone as usual.....except for yourselves.
This place is full of bitter Englishmen looking for a scapegoat. Was it the referee again? Will you lot force this one into retirement as well, with the hate mail and death threats? No, I don't think so, he refereed the game very well. (PS - Euro 2004 - CORRECT decision) So who else? Rooney? Does anyone believe that he didn't deserve to get sent off? Of course he didn't. Just look at these diving, cheating foreigners playacting again: -ie - ofcourse he deserved it. Wee thug. So who is left? Ronaldo, of course. What did he do wrong? Dive? Yes, he did, but so did Joe Cole, several times. And let's not forget the Hungary friendly, when the angelic Stevie Gerrard took a tumble. Usually a heinous crime, the nation suddenly accepted that diving was OK, "cos its others wot do it as well." Shockeroonie there!! Therefore, you have no complaints to make, because you lot are just as bad as anyone. What else did Ronaldo do? Encourage his players to surround the referee and get Rooney sent off? Yes, he did, but :
-so did these Nigels. :0 All in all - accept that you were beaten by a far superior team, again. I predict a Riot :0 :0 Oh aye, almost forgot: GIRUY!!!! |

Besides...the red card wasn't the end of England. I think they played really well taking notice that they were one man short.
If someone killed England's game, it was Ricardo with his saves. |
