Typical.....blaming everyone as usual.....except for yourselves.

This place is full of bitter Englishmen looking for a scapegoat.

Was it the referee again? Will you lot force this one into retirement as well, with the hate mail and death threats? No, I don't think so, he refereed the game very well. (PS - Euro 2004 - CORRECT decision)

So who else? Rooney? Does anyone believe that he didn't deserve to get sent off? Of course he didn't. Just look at these diving, cheating foreigners playacting again:

-ie - ofcourse he deserved it. Wee thug.

So who is left? Ronaldo, of course. What did he do wrong? Dive? Yes, he did, but so did Joe Cole, several times. And let's not forget the Hungary friendly, when the angelic Stevie Gerrard took a tumble. Usually a heinous crime, the nation suddenly accepted that diving was OK, "cos its others wot do it as well." Shockeroonie there!! Therefore, you have no complaints to make, because you lot are just as bad as anyone.
What else did Ronaldo do? Encourage his players to surround the referee and get Rooney sent off? Yes, he did, but :

-so did these Nigels. :0

All in all - accept that you were beaten by a far superior team, again.
I predict a Riot :0 :0

OMG you have to be blind, or a ref yourself!

Thats was the worst bit of refing since the mexico ref in the paraguay game! of course i don't expect a ref to be perfect, but i would like 1 without a vendetta against England (yes we are still at war with Argentina).

That is just paranoia, mixed with a wee bit of petulance mate.
Sol Campbell pushed a defender. Resuly - Free kick. Not hard, is it? I suggest that you watch a replay of it again, without the red-and-white tinted specs!

Can I just say that I have absolutely nothing against England, except for the intolerable media, and the minority of fans who cannot accept defeat graciously.

England fans, you lost because Gerrard, Lampard and the other scouser Carragher missed, Ricardo made three wonderful saves.

Stop blaming Ronaldo, Rooneys sending off because it had little effect on the game. In fact you played better without him on the field.

Yeah, you shouldnt say you want to shoot him, the police may get ur fingerprints off the gun, use poison, or better yet get Roman Abromavich to buy portugal and shut the whole country down and execute all their players.

Falling feels like flying
Until you hit the ground
And everything is beautiful
Until you take a look around.

So... to sum up.

Ronaldo's fault. The Portugese scamp alone conned a World Class referee by pointing and putting his hands together. (Not Rooney....he didn't deliberately leave his foot in another player's groin or lift his hand to another player.)

Or was it a weak Argentinian referee who hates all things English?
Or was it the heat....which by jove....Johnny Foreigner is just much more adept at dealing with?
Or a Swede who was scoring more times off the pitch than the hyped stars he was supposed to assemble into a World Cup winning team?

Could it not be that England were just not good enough at this level? 3 supposed World Class players (Gerard, Lampard and Carragher) missed from 12 yards. That had nothing to do with it?

No.... let's lash out out at a talented foreign player urged on by a racist panel. (By the way..... Ian Wright is an absolute disgrace. The way he laughed at Dessailly when France were struggling against Togo was shameful). And then England wonders why no-one beyond their borders wishes them luck? I predict there'll be a few plastic chairs and tattooed nutcases flying in Germany tonight.

Ach....I'm away to watch 2 classy sides who deserve their place in the last 8. I might even have a 'Believe' bar to celebrate. I finally get what the makers meant by changing the name.. Confused

If the Tables were turned and Rooney had his nuts stood on then all the posts would have been about what a dispicable thing to do to Rooney, get over it guys Rooney and NOT ronaldo is resposible for england going home early

i dont think so, Rooney is English, so he would have got up, been a bit winded and then got on with the match and everyone would be going on about how strong Rooney is and how he's the best player in the world

Do you have a dick??? Do you know how sore it is to be stamped on???

I have been hit in the nutts before, but im a proud man. I don't cry and cry, i get my breath back as u lose your breath when your hit there (if u had a dick you'd know this)

It was clearly him who made up the refs mind about Rooneys red card, everyone saw him wink at Rooney when the ref showed him the card.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
Quality, and spot on as well! And Ian Wright......I almost forgot about him.....

Why he is invited to participate in these events is a mystery to me. I mean, as if Motson wasnt enough to contend with - we now have this snaggletoothed moron to put up with. I first raised this after his disgracefully partisan performance as a pundit at the Bolton v Arsenal game in February.

The guy patently knows nothing about the game, applauding Gerrards oscar-standard dive for the penalty against Hungary whilst admitting it was cheating. If someone had done that in front of Sol Campbell, old Wrighty boy would have exploded but here it was ok. Seeing the torn faced [beep!] after the game made up for it all, though:D

Im away for some celebratory Cheese and Owen Pringles - Once you pop you can't stop. Very Happy

he didn't decide to show the card until cristiano ronaldo started to complain, just wait till he gets back to england the Man Utd fans wont forgive him, neither will his team-mates Rooney, Neville and Ferdinand. also all the other teams wont stop booing whenever he plays, his english career will suffer hugely because of it.
