It was a wonderful match, with everything a World Cup match could want – chances, passion, drama - it was electrifying. Only penalties could separate the teams. I want to congratulate England, they played an incredible match with only ten players.

We couldn’t take advantage because we were forced into trying too many long shots and that’s just not a strong point for Portuguese players. We tried to play down the sides but they defended well – it seemed like we were playing 11 against 11.

Your managers seems to think we were good and i'm no kid

England fans, you lost because Gerrard, Lampard and the other scouser Carragher missed, Ricardo made three wonderful saves.

Stop blaming Ronaldo, Rooneys sending off because it had little effect on the game. In fact you played better without him on the field.

it had little effect on the game are you having a laugh mate

You played better once Rooney had gone off. Portugal did not make the one man advantage pay so in reality what complaints do you have?

m not complaining you said it had no effect on the match
which it obviously did

You didnt lose coz Rooney was not on the field, you lost because you had three penalties saved. Wink

yes but the sending off still had an effect on the game
you said it didnt
its impossible for a sending off not to have an effect on any game

You still had chances to score whilst Rooney was off, Lampard comes to mind. You also could have scored with some of your other chances but failed to do so.

The blame lies with England, not Ronaldo, nor any other Portuguese player.

Ronaldo! I hope he goes to Real Madrid! In Iberia the football is much more better! Remeber Sporting and Benfica wins against english teams in the last two years. You stink! You only have learn something about football with Jose Mourinho! He is PORTUGUESE! You do not understant nothing about football! You are loosers! Twice sent off by Ricardo! Do not forget this name! RICARDO!| Your Paul Robison is a joke!!!!!!
Frank Lampard is good when Mourinho is coaching him! Gerard???!!!! I do not know him! You are jealous! We have the best player in the world!! CRISTIANO RONALDO!!! He is so good he does not want to play in england!!!!!! Good players only play in continental europe! In Portugal we have 11 islands! You need to share your island with scotish and welsh!!!!!!! PORTUGAL IS THE BEST!!!!!!! PUTA QUE OS PARIU!!!!

The issue isn't Ronaldo losing the game for us , the issue is with his childish behaviour , something that has been tolerated for far too long in the Premier league...I still recall his showboating against Wigan for example last season which created problems for himself..

The boy is in for a rough ride next year at every away game and I really don't think he has enough about him to cope..

Thats if Rooney doesn't get him first Laughing

im not saying anything about blame, im simply saying you are talking crap if u think it did not have an effect on the game. did u not see how deep we were defending after Rooney went, how our players were tiring badly from having to get everyone back behind the ball if they dared to venture into portugals half.

yes it did have an effect on the out come, im not even going into where the blame lies as i havent quite worked that out yet. have watched the Rooney incident about 20 times on bbc website and still no idea

just seems like sore loser to be honest. let's look at the points:

1. he goes in to try and get Rooney booked/sent off - so what? england would have done this too as it was a professional foul and a red card
2. he winks - so what? you gotta be pleased that you have a man more and it was Rooney's fault as ronaldo obviously knew he could exploit his temperament and did so successfully
3. england dive too. joe cole dives like a bambi.
4. you're out! hahah! scotland and wales rejoice!

im not arguing with you about any of those things
you stated that the sending off had no effect on the game
it clearly did
thats what im disagreeing with you about

but for the record the ref was biased and ronaldo is a cocky little [beep!] who has no honour at all
and i know its a horrible thing to say but if he died tommorow i wouldnt be bothered

That's not the point , if the card was justified then Ronaldo had no need to get involved..If that was Rooney smothering the referee the Portugese would be saying the same thing

also england were immensely [beep!] with their penalties, if you miss 3 or 4 you don't deserve to win as that's appalling
