aah ok , fair enough then . They have been far more impressive than 4 years ago , Jurgen Klinsmann seems to have got the right mix there and i would be shocked if Italy beat them . I am so gutted England did not make it as i was convinced we could play them in the final ...alas it was not to be .
To me looks like Germany v France in the final .

I say only one think: on this March Italy beated Germany 4 - 1. It was a friendly match, yes, but 4 - 1 is a good result.

As much as I would like the underdog and our neighbour (Portugal) to win I concurr with the both of you. Germany is the most likeley candidate to take the cup, specially the way they have given their all in every game .... will they have enough energy for the final I wonder (assuming they pass Italy which may prove to be a v tough encounter).

Italy played a superb game against Germany and have deserved to be in the final. Will they play the same way then? If they do I reckon the cup will the in their hands.

LOL, never thought Italy could defeat the germans.
And Italy had to face a bad referee, he seemed like he was supporting Germany.
But there was a time when Italy was playing with lots of forwards, I was so impressed. If Italy played like that, they'd be much better and spectacular! They don't need 7 defenders, they have Cannavaro & Nesta (or Cannavaro and Materazzi) with Gatusso a step over them. It's more than enough.
However, they will always be Italy, and will always win ,atches in the last minute (remeber the penalty against Australia), or yesterday, in the 118th minute
I hope Portugal beats France, but it won't be easy

no no no no no nooooo.. I hope France beat Portugal , and not because they beat England ...well maybe partly ... I just hope Thierry Henry can perform well again and score a few more goals .
