Ronaldo is a fantastic player and its sour grapes on the English side of things. Was it his fault Rooney stamped and pushed 2 seperate players or England missed3 pens etc. Portugal have beaten us the last 3 times Euro 2000 3-2 after being 2 down euro 2004 and last week. Lets face it we are a quarter final team at best the better team won well done to Portugal.

Fair enough I probably agree Sven is poor tactically. He should of in extra time played 3-4-2 as Portugal were offering little threat put Wallcott and Crouch up front take Lampard off and play Joe Cole Lennon Hargreaves and Gerrard in midfield with Carrgaher/Neville Rio and Terry in defence and if any defender should have taken the pen it should of been either Rio or Terry (done them before) if he had done the above I think we would have made smis at best. We were that negative that we got what we deserved and please folks stop slaughtering Ronaldo what about Figo against Holland Henry against Spain and that horro tackle Ronaldo suffered in the same game that Figo misbehavioured against Holland. These incidents are much worse than Ronaldo and you lot are sour losers I am a shamed at being English at least other nations lose with dignity, pride and respect no wonder a lot of people dislike us we aren't all like that. I hope Ronaldo stays at Manu as the premier league needs superstars and entertainers and he is one. Commisarations to Portugal and congratulations to the immense Zizou and France.

You hate Ronaldo cause most of women love him and you are jealous. Women like the portuguese most you have to live with that. By the way showing your hate and creating sites and threads and campaigns against him, only show how important youn think he is. The same can be applied to our team Portugal.

Mate I have praised Cristiano I think he is an outstanding player and a great guy (does things for charity etc) he doesn't deserve this and a lot of it is jealousy as he has the complete package. Good luck to him and Portugal who were magnificent hosts in 2004. You are a fantastic country

If portugal are such bad players, then why do most of our top players play for english clubs??
For a small country, we have done so well to get to the semi's. At least the Portuguese not "BAD" loosers and football hooligans!

I see Renaldo has been shotlistes for the "Gillette's best young player award", I can't see ronney's name anywhere............hmmmmmmmmm I wonder why!

Hey I'm glad you didn't say Australians. Even though we are originally a bunch of English convicts I'm glad we have more class than the English (although our Prime minister laps up what England say, the general population are against him). We totally do not tolerate racism in our country. Those Englishmen going wild are a disgrace for the commonwealth.

Now that's a joke , how many aboriginals play sport for your country? , why was there a government enquiry after the last ashes tour in Australia due to racist chants?...Why do you refuse refuge of opressed people in your country..At least know what you are talking about when accusing another nation of being racist

Spain fans are certainly more racist than England ones. Etoo playing for Barca last year Spain beating England 1-0 as much as I like Spain they have a minority of scum bags who spoil football for the rest of them. As I say its a minority but thats what racism is.

Have to disagree with you there. The way your country treats the Aborigines is not only a disgrace but a prime example of racism!

If you studied Australian history well enough- those are BRITISH who tried to wipe out Aborigines. To declare the land as terra nullius (so they can dump their convicts) the British when they first arrived tried to wipe out all the aborigines. It was only when the colony was finally settled that they moved onto assimulation.

But again that's part of HISTORY. That's like discriminating Germans for acts of Hitler if you get what I'm saying. Modern Australians does not tolerate all those racist suggestions in papers for sure! We are cheering for Italy in the world cup now for goodness sake!

Sorry but it is nothing like discriminating Germans for acts of Hitler!
The racism and poor treatment against the Aborigines continues to this day and for you to attempt to argue differently only serves to highlight either your ignorance of whats going on in your own country or your determination to continue arguing a point after it is lost.
Either way it destroys your credibility unlike Scooper who is honest enough to agree when a fair point has been made. Rolling Eyes

I dont think he was the best young player of the tournament anyway. End of the day FIFA decided who was the young player of the tournament not the public. C.Ronaldo lost another thing for him to cry about...oh well!

Ronaldo = PWNED
