You are right, I am sure some mad fans would have tried to beat up the italian player. Laughing

Rooney needs to be suspended and when he is allowed to play again ,then perhaps he'll behave and play like an adult!

Renaldo has done his country proud and has even been shortlisted for the "Gillette Best Young player Award", Can't seem to find Rooney's name there....hmmmmmmmmmm I wonder why!

Face it! It doesn't matter what team you play, it's never going to be englands fault, always the other team. You lost cause you couldn't shoot the penalties, which seems to be a reoccuring problem for England.

If only more English fans are like kytoon the world would be a better place.

England vs Italy? I bet if England lost it would have been the same. Italians classified as 'divers'?

Rooney will be suspended because he was sent off for stamping on an opponent's balls/ violent conduct maybe ( pushing ronaldo ).

It happened, Rooney had his punishment but why keep on about it. Not as much has been said about the fight after the Germany-Argentina game. It just seems to me that people like to point the finger at England!!

No idea which team you are watching for but if you haven't noticed its the English calling Portugal cheats/ divers and god-forbid what type of racist comments they've said. I only see Portugal fans defending. Unlike a certain proportion of English fans

-starting ihateronaldo website
-making ronaldo pictures as dart targets
-attacking portugese reporters
-BBC cutting out and airing a section of world cup totally devoted to portugal dives (what about their country?)
-English tabloid head news- don't tell me its not racist. If it was in Australia those headings would never been made. Our mother country should learn from us in terms of respect.

oh yeah the list goes on.

Agreed. Itīs curiose that nobody here mentioned the provocative attitude of Domenech in the game against Portugal. After calling us savages he extrapolated all limits during that game. He tried all the time to destablish Scolari asking red cards to the referee, and making constantly gestures insinuating Portugal was diving. But that was the less important of all. In the end of the game he said to Scolari "I fu*c*ked you once again" and the FIFA members had to hold Scolari so that he didnīt brake his face. FIFA saw and did nothing. After all that Domenech went after portuguese players in the direction of the balnearies and said to them all kind of disgusting words, offendind the players... is this the attitude a coach must have? Didnīt Scolari have the right to not shake his hand after all? Do people only see one side? Are we the barbarious? Did the foreign press noticed this? French is the only team that donīt deserve this award.

I'm Portuguese and disapprove of cheating. I don't say Ronaldo doesn't dive. I don't say he's innocent. I don't see Ronaldo as a god (my interests and admirations go far beyond football Rolling Eyes)

Am I the exception that makes the rule? I don't think so, since I know (hey, guess what? I live in Portugal! Very Happy) I'm not the only one.

Please don't mix Portugal with football fans and avoid saying that the country approves of cheating, diving, violence and whatever image you might have taken from the media polemics around some football matches.

Leave Australia out of your pathetic jokes. At least in Australia we accept different cultures. Even when Italy beat Australia the news was out quick and we all turned to cheer for Italy. We didn't splash newslines across our newspapers, or attack Italian fans. We continued to go to our fav Italian restaurants and wished our neighbours goodluck. That I have yet to see from majority English fans.

I don't disagree about Ronaldo diving. Fact is that he's trying to maximise his chances at a goal for his country. No more of the 'he cheats more' or 'dives more' stuff because if those hypocrites haven't realised their country is all in the World Cup diving show SOMEWHERE... just because you refuse to believe it (so it makes you feel better about attacking someone) doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

ronaldo
