Don't forget that Zidane spent the match on the ground ... and the referee never noticed anything (like the 2 faults on Malouda in the surface in 2nd term).
Italians don't make very big faults but he ALWAYS make faults, at the end it is too much, look at the replay BEFORE "zidane's fool head".

From now on, everyone has forgotten Materazi's goal (with the hand on Viera's shoulder Evil or Very Mad ) but everyone will remember that he made Zidane expeled ... That's the history of football.
He is now a poor provocative idiot ... he'll never be Zidanian genius but a priick for ever ever.

It doesnt matter what Materazzi said to Zidane... He lost his cool and hurt his team because of his actions... A master with the ball and its a treat to watch him, but that was a dirty play and Pele and Kruyft woulda kept their cool at that point in the game and he didnt. A crappy end to a grat career.

That's possible but no one cares and I don't try to find excuses to Zidane.
All I say is that Zidane is Zidane a genius of football for ever and Materazzi a priick for ever, you'll see what's writen in history of football in 1, 5, 10 years ...

-Italy won WC06 against France
-Zidane is 95->06 genius of football
-Materazi a provocative priick who made Zidane expeled in 06WC

Its a terrible end to his career, theres just no excuse for doing that, it doesnt matter what Materazzi said. He deserved to be sent off and will always be remembered for that incedent now

it will only go down as "that headbutt"

There's a whole lot more to his career. He's a celebrated legend of a player. Everyone will over-react but two or three weeks down the line only kids who've only seen one or two world cups will remember him for that.

Zidane deserved to be sent off but he will be remebered for his career while Materazi will be remembered for receiving Zidane's head and the most vicious will show how he stucked Viera on the ground with the hand on his shoulder when he scored.

Let's know that none of the 3 referees saw Zidane's head on Materazi, it is only the 4th referee after being said to watch the video ...

So the question is video or not video. If Zidane is sanctionned on the video, Malouda should have had 2 more forgotten penalties in the 2nd term to shoot ... let's be really fair sometimes.
