Surely when one of the biggest teams to ever grace Torquays Plainmoor find themselves 2 goals to the good in the 61st minute, you'd think it would be plain sailing from there on in. You'd think wrong. A relatively Experienced and strong Forest side came away in shame after letting in 2 goals in the last 10 minutes.

Forest Started Brightly and after there midweek victory against Torquays bitter rivals Exeter, they meant business. The away support were superb throughout, chanting song after song with the fiery passion burning from within there hearts. The long suffering faithful were given what they craved for, when Scott Dobie grabbed the first in the 25th Minute.Nicky Eaden ran down the left flank and crossed it into the box, where Dobie rose to nod it in, and give forest the advantage. That the first goal for a Forest striker in almost 4 months

And forest kept the slender lead going into the break. A very satisfactory first half for Megsons men, which was about to get a fair bit better.

The second half got underway and both teams had half chances, but nothing to catch the eye. Then on the Hour mark, Forest stretched their lead when Southall floated the ball in from a corner, to see commons dispatch it with a sweet volley. Forest 2-0 up, and at this stage were cruising. confidence was high, but so were Torquay hopes.

Forest seemed to be home and dry, the former European Champions were turning on the style as they looked so very comfortable in similar settings that would greet them next season. But, and there's always a but With Forest, in true reds form, they conceded a late goal in the 80th minute when the Gulls broke free and gave the ball to Substitute Sako, who put it past the Danish keeper Rune Pedersen. 2-1, and the many Forest nerves were Jangling.

Then the panic set in. Only one goal in it with little over 10 minutes to go, Forest were fearful and the fans could see it, more importantly, the Torquay players could smell it aswell. They knew what was happening, and they seized there oppurtunity. Forest were under Imense pressure and it all unfolded when Nicky Southalls abysmal backpass was pounced upon by Paul Connel, who easily put it in the back of the net with Pedersen bemused. 2-2, And thats how it finished. Next week its the City Ground, where Nottingham Forest HAVE to improve. Improve drasmtically
