I think we all know what a magician he was. But that is Ronaldinho too. Would you agree with him winning the golden boot? Zidane played awesome against Brazil. The rest was more average to nice, but not great. Cannavaro played an outstanding tournament. It seems as if he has 6 legs or something. And if the tournament is dominated by the defense in the end, you should pay respect to that. If you like it or not.

Think that prize goes to the Rossi elbow Laughing

Oh yeah. Right. (DE Rossi, btw). Of course. You REALLY believe the elbow was worse. Most people don't agree with your decision, I think, and were absolutely shocked when they saw the TORERO (cornuto, we say in Italy), but were not so shocked about the elbow.

Belis is right, that the prize was voted for at half time - just shows how STUPID FIFA IS. I mean, players like Pirlo, Cannavaro Henry and Vieira are still on the field, could still work some magic, and they vote before it all ends (as if it would've taken all that long).

it's a shame and a bad teeching too for young generations.

if another player did that, he would be crucified and condemned: do you remember totti when he spit to poulsen? and de rossi who has been disqualified for 4 matches. they both admitted the error and were condemned not only by the rest of the world, but by italians too.

Zidane played a great match against brazil, but also committed the most violent gesture throughout the whole WC.

Blatter always speaks about the importance of fair play: and after all you elect him the best?
Incredible.

the WC has been dominated by gregarious players, all the stars (zizou, ronalidino, ronaldo, totti, nedved, ballack, figo, and so on...) failed in a way or another.

there were a lot of good players (mainly defenders) in this WC, fair and with a great hearth:
Cannavaro, Lahm, Lemhan, Buffon, Maniche, Gattuso, Ribery, ... cannot mention them all.

somebody else should have won that title!!!

Yes, Raul, the RED CARD was "totally deserved".

I'd give you a red card too, if your comment was in favour if Zidane.

The prize is ridiculous, Cannavaro or Pirlo should have clearly won...

He isn't french, he is swiss........

I don't really agree for Zidane but...

Lahm, Klose would have win it or Pirlo... But not Cannavaro at all...

Why not Cannavaro?

He doesn't miss a ball, i doesn't make an error in 7 matches.. he's the captain of the winning team.
Lahm? good player but with Argentina and Italy he played not so well... Klose? It's easy to score against Costa Rica and Ecuador...

Too many fouls (not always whistled by the referee but...)

He made errors yesterday but we didn't know how to score thanks to these errors... (malouda made him dancing...)

Zidane is a great player, everyone must agree that, but in this wc he didnt played so well all the time, just a few (very few) moments, so for me another player should won that title, but who?
It's very complicated to choose, so ZZ is always a good choice, maybe maniche, Pirlo, Figo, even C.Ronaldo, Klose or Kaka! )
Players like gatuso or cannavaro (he was a wall) deserve this title but they dont play like zz by miles (must be that!), even so Cannavaro or Pirlo deserved to be the best player more than zz!

Doest it satisfy all the conspiracy theorists ??

No! DEFENCE was the main factor that won the cup for Italy AND CANNAVARO the main factor on it
Zidane played like sh!t the most part of the World Cup with only one really good game as alredy said by most people in this board. MOST PEOPLE CANT BE WRONG!.

Cannavaro is a pit bull! Thank you.

Enough said.

Besides, if C. Ronaldo wasn't given the Best Young Player award for having lacked fair-play, despite having all the conditions to win it and a lot of talent (as FIFA said), what criteria was used now for giving the Golden Ball to Zidane? Rolling Eyes

Yes, thatīs what the all world asks in this moment! Rolling Eyes

Outrageous!!!

FIFA condemns the agressive teams and now aplauds an agressor?!

The Golden Ball was given to him as a lifetime achievement award.
Everyone knew he was retiring before the World Cup.
I wish I would have put money on ZZ to win it.
FIFA always do that crap.
Remember the greatest player in the world.
Between Pele and Maradonna.
Maradonna leaves the building before Pele even gets his award.

Do you really think that the young generation needs zinedine to learn and make bad things ?

never say or do something that you regret then? Are you all angels...if yes...the pope won't have enough time to sanctify each one of you.
