I will start with our 1st match of the Premiership season, at home to Wigan Ath. We had a tough time against them last year until we played them at home. I think we should win that and then bring on Liverpool!
Next on to players, Roeder has been linked with some ordinary players, Wes Brown, Dean Windass, John Hartson and Lucas Neill. If he pursists with being interested in these players although I think Windass is not true then I have to admit I will lose confidence in him.
On the other side being linked with Dirk Kuyt is a dream for me as he is my favourite ever player atm so to get him would be amazing. I think Torres is a no no as after the WC his value will be far beyond NUFC being as how we need 6-7 players.
Finally Roeder has said he wants attackers which obviously we do but he hasn't said anything about bolstering our back line which most toon gaffers never seem to notice is weak. The Toon staff have got a lot of work to do in July so lets hope they bring in some CLASS players and KUYT!

Very Happy

We can servive in defence if we get a new LB but i agree with you about the attacking situation.
I hope we get Steed Malbronque though cos he is a great replacement for Bowyer.

i would not mind gettin Bernard back to replace Babayaro as he is a disgrace, and i like Elliot but he is gettin a bit old now.

FIDDLE, we dont play Liverpool second we play Aston Villa away. Our first 5 games line up like this:

Wigan (H)
Villa (A)
Fulham (H)
West Ham (A)
Liverpool (A)

We should be looking to win at least 3 of them, the trip to upton park and Liverpool are going to be hard tests.

There is no doubut in my mind that we need at least 2 strikers possibly 3 I would love 2 of thefolowing to sign, D Bent, Viduka, Yakubu, Defoe, Van Nistelrooy, Kuyt, Fernando Torress. Then I hope we buy SWP on loan and also 3 defenders Miguel at rb Bridge/Bernanrd at lb and Distin at cb or a fit Woodgate. If this happens I think top 6 possibly top 4 and also challenge in the cups I just hope Luque comes good and makes a much bigger impact than last season also Ameobi will be a good squad player.

How can you include Dyer, he is good but never plays, and Pattison is to young to consider as a player that will have a huge impact this season wich leaved Faye,Milner and Butt as the only replacements

N'Zogbia - Emre - Parker - Nobby

Milner and Pattison/Dyer on the bench.

Looks good too me.

We have one of the best midfields in the country in my opinion I dont think our problem lies in the middle of the park, its how the hell are we going to put the ball in the net. I tell you im not happy with Luque being up front next season.

He is Useless.

I agree with the most part of that. Our midfield is very very strong. That's why i cant understand when a rumour is released that its always a midfielder. If we had 2 new strikers and a solid LB (like Bridge) we would be a force again!

However i disagree on Luque. You dont just lose form overnight. He was a top top player in Spain, wouldve been in their WC squad. Most people go through bad patches for no longer than a month ot two. Its just a shame that his lasted all season. If he can pick up his work ethic and enthusiasm i think he can be a hit.

Nah he isnt suited to the English game, he is pushed off the ball far too easily, his work ethic is poor to say the least and he doesnt seem arsed at all. Good goal at Lillestrom but I still dont rate him.

Same thing happened with Viana, just wasnt suited for England.
