Do any of you Arsenal fans care that there will be Next to no English players in the team. (Campbell released and cole replaced with french thuram)

Concerned.. no. I'd prefer there were more British players, but I would rather have a decent french player than a crap english one.

And what squad number will Thuram be wearing then? Didn't know he played left-back either... Rolling Eyes

yes mate big time!! these fans who say no it doenst worry them havent got a clue!!! we need the spirit of the english players even if it is only a couple!!! wheres our gerrad?? lampard?? Rooney??. these french hate losing and sulk like kids!!! henry being one of them!!!

i agree, English payers can cary a team, look at Newcastle, Shearer and Parker.

french players:gallas,henry,flamini,diaby,clichy thats all guys
its all about manager look on lpool spanish manager and lpool is(was) full of spanish player, CFC thats the same carvalho,ferreira,hilario..

What does it matter what country a player comes from. Foreign players normally tunr out better value for money anyway.

The fact of the matter is mate, that this is the ENGLISH Premier League, therefore fans expect to see mostly English players.

I would love a rule to come in where at least 7 or 8 of every clubs matchday side must be English/British. Obviously only in this league as it would be stupid in Hungary Wink

Well give me Rosicky for 7M whilst other teams are paying 18m for Carrick anyday. Laughing

Well unfortunely for teams that pay well over thre value for englaish players it isn't going to happen. Instead the PL will be home of the best quality of league football in the world. Wink

look at the amount of Spanish players Liverpool have. Most foriegn manages bu players from their country because its easier and they have more connections in their country.

but, im not that bothered about the lack of english players. as long as we are winning titles thats all that matters.

Hoyte, Walcott, Gilbert...

we have got some english players and some in our youth squad, so their time will come.
