Is anyone else really excited by this season? With their several new (quality) signings, I reckon the sky blues will be a real force this season in the championship. Anyone else think this?

Yes me too , i think stadium, manager, players, money and the fans really are in the clubs favour this season and its the first tym i have felt this good bout the new season can't wait already.

Well, after the 1st game I thought we could be a serious threat this year; coming from behind to beat the (then) league favourites.

Since then, mixed bag really. Late goals seem to be a potential weakness, we seem flat now LittleShef has gone - where is our player that makes the fans stand-up in anticipation? It sure ain't Kevin Kyle!

I thought on Friday if we cannot beat Hull then we may as well forget it; we won but worse teams than us will beat Hull more convincingly.

We have Adebola, John, Kyle - I feel we need more quality up-front than this. Akinbiyi isn't the answer, sure he can run fast but we want goals not sub 12-sec 100mtr times, remember John Williams?
I'd love us to put _serious_ bids in for Nugent (who maybe be Premiership-bound so that could be tough), as well as Mellor (rumoured to PNE for £600k). I understand Kyle cost virtually that, rather Mellor than him anyday. If Adams fancies Kyle, fair enough he's the guv and we have to get behind him, so why not get Mellor as well? Let's show some ambition.

So, on the performances and results thus far, I'd say we are gonna finish in the top 10.
