Manchester City midfield man Joey Barton has signed a new four-year deal.
The 23-year-old pledged his future to City after the contract was delayed by a wrangle over a reported £100,000 demand made by agent Willie McKay.

City have confirmed McKay has not accepted any fee, and Barton said: "I am ambitious and so is the club."

Meanwhile, 18-year-old defender Micah Richards has also signed a new four-year contract, which will keep him at City until at least 2010.
