Walsall manager Richard Money has signed Australian defender Allan Picken on a two-year contract, subject to international clearance.
The 24-year-old spent last season in his homeland with Newcastle Jets, where Money used to be in charge.
Money told the club's website: "This is an important and exciting signing.
"In League Two we need a physical threat to make sure that we are not blown away and Allan will certainly provide that."

This is a top signing for Walsall. He played last year at the Jets, the team i support. He was one of the standouts of the season, probably the find of the A-League. Two years ago he was brick-laying, now he is playing football in England, i wish him all the best
