Mcnulty signs short-term deal

Macclesfield Town have signed Jimmy McNulty on a short-term deal.

McNulty had been on trial at Macclesfield for the last few weeks and he impressed Silkmen boss Brian Horton.

The young defender played in Monday's friendly defeat to Manchester United and Horton has offered him a one-month contract.

"I was really pleased with how Jimmy played against Manchester United on Monday and that's why we have offered him this contract," Horton told the club's official website.

"If he carries on well we will look to extend it, but we'll just see how things go to begin with."

The deal has now been extended to 12 months.
