Shrewsbury hit back from a goal down to earn their first win of the season and leave Bury bottom of the league after their third consecutive defeat.
John Fitzgerald touched in Brian Barry-Murphy's free-kick to put Bury ahead and Alan Fettis then saved Sagi Burton's penalty to preserve the lead.

Kelvin Langmead equalised by turning in Derek Asamoah's cross at the far post.
