I am seeking to manage any football team especially if this football team has underperformed in previous seasons.

I guaranteed that Only one season is enough for your team to go on top of the league and stay up the top reaching your dream starus.

I want to prove that I am the best football manager .
I have attend sessions in Brazil and with top U.K. teams.
25 years studiyng and researching football management technigues, psycology and the best way to play with the players who are available to the manager.
To play a good football there is no need to buy "good" and expensive players.
My way is to extract to the maximun the players ability so they can perform as a team by giving their best as individuals.

If i thought I can fail i woulnt bother asking to manage a football team.

Your team will improve, your team will win matches (I guarantee 95.5 succes rating)and the most important off all is few can learn my managerial style.

Why I am not managing a "big" team?

Because everyone asks for F.A badge but i went my own way to learn football management.

I am willing to teach and help anyone who asks FOR FREE my football ideas and to prove my point i am willing to manage your first team.

Thank you

I am a 52 years old Greek guy living for 30 years in UK south of England.

Although I was a desent player I had to pay my own petrol and I was getting paid per match or sometimes to obtain more monies I had to perform well.

Anyway I set my sights in to football management and i applied to get my first F.A badge.

I went to Brazil and for two months I was a daily visitor and close associate to then Brazil manager Tele Santana who him self was new to management because his previous career was a reporter.

What I learnt in Brazil was not just "how to play football", but the mystery of how Brazilians can play football with such pathos and success.

Was all down to psychology.
Does not matter how good or bad the Brazilian player is.

Once they get all together various speeches are made including speeches from the players themselves.

Everything in their speeches mention glory and Nationalism.
Through football Brazil is the biggest Nation on Earth Brazilians believe.

This psychology I have analysed and interpreter to be able to transfer in to club management.

Through the years with my own expenses i have attended seminars and training sessions with Liverpool (Daglish) Man United (Sir Alex Ferguson) Arsenal, Real and Juventus and Milan.

My theory is the 'LEMON JUICE' theory.

Collect the best lemons available and extract the juice.

Well maybe is crazy talk but in My mind the lemons are my experiences with the other managers and the juice is what Lessons i have kept from these managers.

Why am I different?

Today the “Manager” of a football team once in charge what he does?

He looks at the weakness of the team. Then he decides that he needs another player perhaps the best player available for this position.

In this rate this manager he would concentrate to getting the best players for all the 11 positions.

Even if this was possible it is totally wrong.

Have anyone noticed that in the last 15 years in the world football every “big” and successful player has only performed his “best” at one team only?

Eric Cantona can be one of the few exemptions as He performed incredibly well with Leeds when they (Leeds) won the English League then He was transferred to Man United .
But outside Uk Mr Cantona was not a “big” name in the world of football as he was not allowed to play with the French national site.

The reason why a talented player performs at his best in only one team in his career is simple.
This player finds that he has adapted mentally, physically, and financially to this team and he needs to perform as well as he can because he feels that… his best will not last long.

The only person who’s going to extract the best out of the player is the team manager.

It is very unfair that in any football team whether small (low league) or big professional football team will have to glorify its few “primantonas” players ignoring the fact that there is 11 football players sharing the success or defeats of this team.

In low leagues I understand that the “primantona” phenomenon doe not exist because the players are not financially dependent on the football club team.

But my psychology to improve the playing game of football applies to any football team on this earth.

Managers from the top leagues have so much pressure to succeed that they have abandoned the old fashion managerial practices and in order to satisfy their chairmen they are concentrating on looking around to buy few “stars” so the fans can cheer the team not for the football game they play but for the star who has signed in their team.

It takes a brave manager who can take a team “as is” and try to build success from the players available.

After all every football player who plays football in any division “high” or “low” league,
This football player has to be consider as a good player because in every match has to do his best for his team to succeed.

There is where a good manager can shine.

Before we can discuss about football formations or how a team can play lets say what I thing is the best way of building a successful football team.

Everything starts from the players available to the football club and to the manager.
These players love to play football.
But sometimes few of them all perhaps all of them they will feel negative or tired
Or perhaps asking questions such as “am I playing for the right team?”
“Do I deserve to play for a better team?”
Questions like than can have a negative results on their performances.

Now. Here where a good manager need to be.
In the players minds. In their feelings. In their “highs” and “lows”.

Ok these players play for a low league .
The club itself can take years (if successful) to reach the professional league such as third or above divisions.

But a player with good ambitions and a good luck can end up playing professional football within a year.

This is the managers “TOOL” to improve players performances.

Fantasist is the person who dreams and who imagines that he is so good he is living in his own world of success.
The manager has to build on that.
The manager knows that his players play for their team to win but also they play so perhaps someone (football agent) can spot them and perhaps they can be offered a trial with a “big” professional team.

When an agent can be there when our football team plays?

The manager has to persuade the players that in every game someone from a big club is always there looking for a talent.
Negative talk or shouting and screaming by the manager is counter productive.

Gone these all days where the manager shows no respect for his players.
The football player has to be treated with the respect that he deserves.

An emotional black mail is better than screaming and verbally abusing the player.

For example:
The old style manager would say: “bloody hell you stupid [beep!] can you f..ing play?
This can attract an angry reaction from the player. You do not want the player to play under stress or fear.

My style is: “ok guys we lost I see the defenders especially Mr Smith dint have the will to close down the opponent.
“The strikers today perhaps you was tired.”
On the next game should I try to send the defenders upfront and the strikers on the back?”

Sarcasm can be as good punishment and better than screaming at the players.

“Gentlemen if you think the club is not big enough for you please say so” “so we can part company and bring on the team more ambitious players”
This is a moral black mail.

Before the start of every game the American style of team build is the best.
20 minutes before the start of the match the manager has to remind them that:
This is the best match of their lives because:
Three point will bring success and the club on top of the league.
Because the scouts out here watching the match looking for certain players.
Because this match is not only for the 3 points but also this match is the best way for the players to taste success in the higher leagues.
Remind them that the credit for success goes all to them.
So they know if they loose who gets the blame.

It goes without say that colour prejudice or religious prejudice has to be non existent.
Football unites humans together regardless age, colour, religion, greed, or social status.

The manager has to be a good listener and sometimes has to act like a father or a friend to his players.
Especially to the under performed players the manager has to establish:
Does this particular player does not play well because is ill or injured?
In this case the manager has to rest the player and give him his best advice for the players recuperation .

If the players problem is not injury or illness the manager gently has to discover what else is so the player cannot play at his best.

Being a clown or whatever takes to make the player to start performing at his best I think the manager has to act.

Lets say the manager inherited a team of under performers.
The club is positioned on the last 4 on the league.
Obviously the clubs football team must played a bad football in the last season.

What the new manager has to do?
Change the team?
The answer is: NO
Identified the problems so he can fix them??
The answer is:NO
Buy few “key” players to strengthen the team?
The answer is:NO
Then?
I will explain.
Once the new manager takes over an underperformed team this manager has to check last seasons result.
Because if most of the result where 1-1 draws and 1-0 or 2-0 loosing matches this does not indicate that there was something wrong with the defences or the forward players.

A very bad defence loses at least 3 times in the season with higher scores than 1-0 or 2-0.
Neither the strike force can be said that they can be this bad when they have managed to score few times.

The problem with this kind of a team is within the management and the whole organisation of the football club.

Had the manager “free” hand to manage the football team?
If yes then he simply failed.
Other questions are: Had the players a specific problem to which the manager was not able to address? Such as few players perhaps the would had prefer to play in a different position.
The new manager of the football club has to identify these problems.

Every problem has its solution.
So this one.
First and the most important.
The new manager has to meet with all available players and ask this simple question: “who wants to leave the club and who wants to stay and play for the club.

Lets say the new manager established that.
Now the next question is to ask the players which position they would be happy to play (except of course the goalkeepers).

Once the manager has established these and has taken written notes of the players favour playing positions next comes the training sessions.

Well is a well known fact that some players like to compete for a “popular position which in most cases is the strikers role.

A good manager has to have an input of knowledge as to the criteria of what poison suits a certain player.

For example: A well built tall person suited with the centre back roll.
Once a such person exists within the club the manager has to improve this defenders game.
For a start this defender has to improve his speed so he can be able to mark the opposition striker especially if he happens to be away from his mark and he needs to recover his ground fast.

The defender has to improve his vision and intellectuality so he can foreseen the opposite players “crafty” passes which may lead to a possible scoring.

The middle fielders can be any heights but around 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 11 is ideal because they can keep their balances whilst running.

Skills to improve for the midfield players are definitely speed (less than 12 seconds per 100 metres is ideal) and a ball control whilst are running on the field.
Good vision and excellent mental sharpness is an important practice for a midfield player because he has to run avoiding the opposition defenders whilst he looks around to make the ideal pass so the team can progress and score a goal.

Shorter midfield players are ideal for my favour on field position of wingers.
One wing player on the left and one on the right of the field collecting the ball and passing the ball once they have enter the opposition area.
High passes from the winger can lead to scoring because the opportunities are there and I will explain later how.

Strikers? Anyone who can score a goal!!.
Any height any speed.
The manager can improve his strikers ability through exercises and various shooting practices such as shooting outside the area trying to score a goal having two goalkeepers in front of him.

The goalkeepers are the “villains” or the “saints” of any team.
But an old fashion goalkeeper can be good for ever as long as he is not afraid to throw his body in front of the opposition player and as long as he can pretend to be a superman so he can dive towards the ball and no away from the ball.

Ok here we have a basic football team with a new manager.
As I explained above the manager has already started to do his best so his players can be on the right mental frame.

The season starts within one month and the manager has to prepare a winning football team.
I understand in amateur league football the training of the players is limited.
With this limit in mind my suggestions and ways are:
No to many physical exercises for all the players together.(ONLY FOR AMATEUR LEAGUES).

It is up to the player to take his responsibility and keep fit.
Maybe 50 minutes of running and few physical exercises for all the team.
Because in low amateur leagues there is no much time for training like the professional teams the manager has to concentrate of ability training.
Goalkeepers trained separately to improve their game.
With goalkeepers ideally I would have send my strikers to mutually benefit from the goalkeepers training.

Defenders midfielders will train together.

Now the big question to a football manager:
What system you play?

Well well well. My opinion is:
Diamonds and rings are for the ladies only.

This modern talk of a diamond formation is nonsense.
Play the old fashion way of football and the billions of people will enjoy goals and a good game.
We do not need bigger goal posts or abolition of penalties or special foot braking shoes.

Just the old fashion football.
My favour systems are:
4-4-2
4-3-3
4-5-1 (if need to play defensive).

4-4-2:
In all my systems I am in favour of two wingers one on the left one on the right.

The wingers can collect the ball from halfway and try either to run with the ball deep to the opponents area or if there difficulty to hold the ball cross the ball forward (always forward even if is a lost ball) to the running strikers.

Lets start from the 4 back.

My goalkeeper will have strict instructions to never venture outside his area.
Centre back has to be within talking distance with the goalkeeper.

The only time the centre back can run forward is when no opposition players are in his area.

What the centre back does when he sees two opposition players advancing in his area?
What you thing?
To go for the player who has the ball?
WRONG.

In this awkward moment a quick position taking will have to be discuss between goalkeeper and centre back.

The centre back has to wait either for one of the two opposition players to soot for a goal or pass the ball.

Only within 3 metres (12 feet) or less the centre back will have to act.
If he sees the opposition striker go for a shot he has to position his body between the shooting striker and his goalkeeper.
If another pass is going to be made then the centre back has to run towards the player who’s receiving the ball so he can either block or a possible shot or stop any other pass.

The other 3 defenders have to have responsibility to hold the ball away from their area.

I am not concentrating to instruct my defenders to guard a certain opposition player because I feel that this is a waste of a player.

The best way to stop an opposition player no to score is to keep on having the ball and be sure that the defenders at all time are in front of the striker and not running after him.

The system is 4-4-2.
The 2 are my strikers.
I don’t believe that AT ANY TIME the strikers have to pull back to their own half to defend.

If the 8 players are not enough to defend their team then my team is a very bad team and need to be examined.

The 2 strikers has at all times to be position in the halfway line ready to receive the ball or receive a ball from the fighting defenders who are kicking the ball away from an incoming attack from the opposition.
The same applies on the 4-3-3 system regarding the 3 strikers although on the 4-3-3 system /formation the 2 strikers will also be my wingers.

The 4-5-1 is a system which can be used in rear cases such as when my team plays a friendly or F.A. cup match against a professional site.

Keep holding the ball in the centre even if you play against Man United or Chelsea.

Some managers think the 5-4-1 is the best defensive system against the giants.
WRONG .

Never invite the opposition in to your area.
Even 10 people cannot defend a “stray” goal.
Keep 4 on the back and let the five to defend and counter attack.

In my opinion the best defence starts from the oppositions half.
“Kicking” the ball out is not a clever way to defend because one gives the chance to the opposition to re-organise.

If under pressure shoot the ball towards the oppositions other half so you can force the opposition players to go back.

Today’s managers are killing the game because the money involving on transfer deal.

As a manager I can be the best because I will concentrate on pure football.
But a manager like my self can generate income for the club.

Because my style is to improve the players ability to perform on the football pitch and my successful team will be based on 11 players then this mean that the club can sell any player who wish to go so the club can profit and his replacement will be a success as always.

Why I am not a football manager for a big team?

Be cause I refuse the FA badge and because I believe that football managers have to change their approach to the game before the beautiful game of football is killed off.

I predict that football will survive.
The new generation of managers will be managers with similar style of mine.

My challenge is:
Give me any football team which has underperformed in the past.
Without any expenses I can built the football team to go on top on its league not only for one season but for as long as I am in charge.
Even if I am not in charge once I leave the team someone else who have studied my ways can continue this success.
