I was thinking to my self, whilst playing on Fifa 06 that there is only a week and a bit till we kick of against Wigan an dwe still have no new strikers, i no last season we got some players very late in the Transfer Window and that Glen Roeder has made it very clear he wants to take his time but i would rather we had them here now working with the team, rather than being thrown straight in at the deep end. At the moment we have got 3 fit strikers, Ameobi, Luque and Alan O'Brian, i no the likes of Emre, Duff, Milner and Zoggy can play up front but they are not going to help us fight for Europe like 2 out and out strikers would.

i hope we do get him cos his record in holland is second to none but id rather sacrafice him for sumone abit cheaper and get bridge and gravesen aswell.i think feyenoord are gona price him out of a move to us.

but if sheppard is prepared to pay around the 15m mark id rather try and see if werder bremen could reject that sort of money for klose, cos i think he is more lyk shearer than kuyt and we can have duff n nobby whipping the crosses in cos he has proved he is good in the air.

We have to forget about Alan now,hes gone.He was class for us as we all know but he did lose a lot of pace in the last 2-3 seasons. We dont want someone to fill his shoes,we need a younger model who can put the ball in the net. Before you all jump down my throat hes my hero to but we all have to move on and think of the future

fair point mate but klose is only 25,same age as big al was when we got him,and u cnt tel me if we cud have a 25 yr old shearer again you wudnt be happy, so klose wud do just nice for 99% geordies

ye but klose is a 6 yard goal scorer. we need somone who puts them selves about a bit more and thats why kuyt is a better buy than klose.

also he said on sky sports that Newcastle is his first choice club destination ahead of Liverpool

Roeder said after the match that he should have a new player in this week. Said he is also looking at some other players to tie up. Supposedly the player is a speedy striker Smile

I like to see Newcastle doing well - I just dont see them moving forward at that moment. Hope they prove me wrong.

Still hope

I believe strongly that even with out new players we still would be in the top half, Shearer is a huge miss but now it apears that Luque and Shola are really starting to improve, saying that i would like more players.

I dont mind the buy, i am slightly bemused, but it can never be as bad as Luque or Boumsong who (i would of thought) cost a lot more, how much did we pay for him, Rossi, good bye, Freddy Sheperd said many other teams were after him, he also said that Ryan Giggs is an alien.

Rossi will do well, Newcastle should extend the loan beyond January if possible.
