Newcastle are meeting with Obafemi Martins’s representatives on Sunday and expect to tie up a deal within the next few days for the Internazionale striker.

Martins’s management team are flying to England and will meet with a Newcastle delegation, including chairman Freddy Shepherd.

Skysports.com has learnt that a deal of €16 million (£10.9 million) had been struck between the Premiership club and the Serie A giants
