2b fair i can see where you are coming from when u mention Savage- i enjoy watching him play, Id imagine he is an inspiration on a wet cold December Tuesday evening at 8.30pm when hes playing for the rest of his teammates. Hes passionate, gives his all, heart on his sleeve, etc for his team but i think that a completely fit Scott Parker will do all of that for you aswell as offering goals, clever passes and a lot more so Id take Parker over Savage everytime.

I am right behind SFagan's last line. Parker is passionate, skillful, tough (doesnt get muscled out of tackles) and very clever. He knows how to read a game. He wouldnt be named as captain if he couldnt. Parker goes in hard, but goes in smart. Savage doesnt. He might go in hard and look passionate but he isnt smart about it. Thats why he is hated, too many rash challenges.

Parker will soon be back in the England squad and i for one will be very very pleased for him.

What are you on man, Scott Parker is class, as far as im aware Savage is just got one thing in is game, stupid tackles. i bet parker as a better card history than savage.

I’m wasn’t knocking Parker out of hand as I have him above the likes of Dyer, Butt and Faye. My comments relate to impact (positive) and, over a season, I think Savage would have more of that. I accept that many may hate Savage but the same could be said for Big Al who also was booed everywhere away from SJP. I say look past the media myths about savage and you’ll see a canny player

Anyone who says that they would have Savage over Parker is either drunk Blackburn biased completely or they have never watched a game of footy in there lives. He is a better player all round his passing scoring (that goal agiants Charlton great goals for Chelsea and especially Charlton) also a combative player great in the tackle and he will allways give 100%. He is a true pro a legend in the making and he picks up less yellow cards red cards and injuries. Scottie is a true pro remember the game against Arsenal with the injection on the field Savage would have went off but not Parker. He is a true leader a great captain.

Bbev is a gordie through and through so i find the fact you are saying that to him very upseting, evryfan has a rite to an opinion, even if it is wrong. my he has been to milan, most home games and 14 away games last season. How can anyone call Scott Parker overrated??? N go on further to say they think Robbie Savage is better??? Parker is combative like Savage yes but he's a better combative player n he also scores goals (spectacular ones) Savage doesn't! Parker plays with passion n is as honest as they come.

Scott Parker is a great player. I liked him at Charlton. Then Chelsea bought him and sat him on the bench for 18 months.

He is an oustanding player way better than P Neville and Jenas who get into the England squad. He is great defensively a sound passer and better going forward than people give him credit for. He is a true pro and a fantastic captain in the making. Keep it up Scotty and surely Mcclaren cannot in future be as blind as Sven was.
