In the 9 times the finals have been held in Europe, only once (Brazil 1958) have a non-European tam won. And of the 8 European winners, 4 have been host nations.
Also, only 2 non-European nations have been runners-up in Europe.
So statistically at least, it should be an all European final.

I'd love Spain to win, but it will never happen. Referees stole us in Korea & Japan world cup, when we were pleying our best football. I think that Brazil will be the winner

I'd love Spain to win also, or maybe (you won't like this) Portugal.
Class football countries.

I think it would be a close call between Engalnd and Brazil. They both have some of the best players in the world. I think Brazil have a better attack but England have a better defence. But Brazil have a better keeper so i would go with Brazil.

So much can occur between now and then, so it's an excellent question thats hard to answer. I think Brazil always is there, especially now with Adriano and his form. I like Holland as well, Robben is a exceptional player that takes his team up a notch. England is capable as well, but Rooney will have to carry them. The home side is always a factor, and Klinsmann has not been afraid to add some talented young players to his mix. Argentina could be there as well, as long as they don't meet up with Brazil before hand. Obviously I don't know, and the 'above' probably doesn't make much sense. I hope Holland, my heart says Brazil, and it will probably be neither.

3 teams can win it, Holland, Brazil, or Argentina. England will reach quarters before loosing to Holland. United States will make it to semi-finals before losing to Brazil.

England hopefully, and it would be even better if we did win it because it is being held in Germany, cant wait its going to be a good World Cup, with Rooney and Shaun Wright-Phillips still developing we will be even stronger at the end of the season!!!!

Brazil, definitely.
If I have to pick another team: Holland!
If the quartlet ( Ronaldihno, Kaka, Robinho, Adriano ) , Ronaldo are 100% fit, no team can beat Brazil.
England, yeah right! You can keep dreaming. I agree England has one of the best defense, but no good game makers and strikers. I think Rooney is way over-rated. In no scale, he can match Ronaldo, Robinho or Henry.

As for Africa, I agree with someone who earlier said that we get arrogant. I mean look at our team ( senegal ) during le last world cup. We beat France, Sweden to get then trashed by Turkey.
The next surprise team will be Ivory Coast.
But dont forget, on 2010 the World Cup will be in Africa, it gonna be our chance.

i agree i probably am dreaming but no team is unbeatable . Brazil may be very good but if everyone was 100% all the time we might as well give them the World Cup now . It is a fact players lose form , have good games & bad games , make mistakes every now and then , get injured .

England on the right day have enough talent to beat anyone , even Brazil .

Also dont tell me Michael Owen isnt a good striker . Surprised

Can't argue it, that's why I said "if they are 100% fit" .
Owen may be a good striker. But not good enough to assure the World Cup. He can't be compare with Ronaldo. Why he is suddenly ranked striker No 5 at Real after the signing of Robinho?
Beckham doesnt have the magic he used to have.
Funny thing is during last world Cup, I was supporting England when they clashed with Brazil. I found Beckham a little selfish during that game, not willing to get hurt for his country. Remember the second Brazilian's Goal? Ronaldinho wasnt supposed to get the ball if Beckham didnt jump to save his leg.

England can be the World Champion, in that case we will be talking about Miracle.

Not that I'm ready to state Owen is the best striker in the world, but he did rank 4th in ALL of Spain last season in minutes to goals ratio, only behind Forlan, Eto'o and Ronaldo. So, why is he 5th in the pecking order for Real, maybe Luxemburgo should be asked that question Question
