Getafe hit again early in the season as they did last year. Schuster's teams always start la liga very strong.

As for Real, poor match yesterday. Hope they get stronger as the season goes on.

So far so good!
We beat Celta away without Ronnie. Eto'o, Messi and Gudjonshen.

Due to work I didn't catch the Barcelona game. But I saw the rest.

Nice opening for Valencia. They definitely are not in mid season form or anything but I think they'll get stronger as the season goes. They really have a talented squad this year.

Was surprised by Real Madrid. Very poor match. But I think they'll work the kinks out and get stronger. I think rust played a role.

Barcelona looks good too, from the sounds of it. Nice rebound from their most recent loss. They're still the rightful favorites for the crown and they'll be hard to take down.

Atletico looked decent. They have alot of talent too and I wouldn't be surprised to see them in it to the very end.

I was glad to see them grab all 3 points away with only 10 players on the pitch. Can someone tell me if Seitaridis deserved his red card?

What did he do? He's usually a very level-headed player.

The tackle he made was very brutal. As much as I didn't want to see him get it, he definitely deserved that red card.

That Real Madrid match the other day was really boring to watch. Looks like Capello is doing his job on them, they looked much better at the back than last year though.

Real Madrid do look alot better at the back they conceded to many silly goals last season. They didn't really create much chances to score though

The Celta Viga v Barca was a good game. Celta played really well I thought Barca was going to beat them with ease but that wasn't the case

The standings at the end of the first half of the season will probably be:

1. Barca
2. Valencia
3. Real
4. Sevilla
5. Atletico
