We are terrible.

Sorry I've not been on in a few days, I am currently moving to a new house. At any rate I would just like make my feelings known that I feel Newcastle are the worst team in history right now. I am sickened by our performances. Our manager is a idiot. Our players for the most part are uncommitted. I don't see any way out. We deserve to be relegated and who knows, perhaps it would be a good thing if we were. So who does everyone think is going to replace Souness when he gets sacked in 3 weeks?

Clevo, ..... dont be so disappointed, ..... at least you got a point from a team that finished 6th in the championship that are odds on favourites to get relagated!

Newcastle will struggle - however I think West Ham will have a good season. The squad has improved since last season, and I believe they ended the season the strongest of all sides coming up.

Yes we are struggling, but to say we are the worst team in history at the moment thats a bit harsh , there will always be one team for sure worse than us and thats Sunderland.

Today proved how much we need some new strikers, its hard to see where the goals are going to come from.

I was trying to take the positives from the game (which was a little harder to do from this game than the Arsenal game)

Taylor's performace was excellent and he deserved the man of the match award.
Parker was impressive again as was Boumsong.

We need at least one new striker for the Man Utd game.

We are also lacking width . . .

i thought they played better today than they did against Arsenal last week . They seemed to actually want to go forward rather than just sit back as they did against Arsenal.

Conner, what you state is correct. Just one slight difference, even i , as a hammers supprter will not argue that the quality of Arsenal is a bigger threat than the quality of West Ham. If teams like Newcastle dont proceed to attack a team like ours then they can look forward to playing other London teams next season such as Millwall !!!!

Please keep all sharp objects away from Newcastle supporters! I agree with Caz, people that can find the back of the net are in desperate need, and I for one still think Kuyt would ease a lot of the pain thats being currently felt.

Dear Mr. oranjepalooza, i am intrigued as to how you take such an interest in this forum as the last time i was in California, ( 2002 ) the world cup was on and nobody took a blind bit of notice that the USA had made it to the final 8 ! Most people there were far more interested in what i was going to do at Santa Anita !! Please educate me as to your interest in the uk football ( Soccer ) game !

Well, you are correct, the game of football takes backseat here in the states to baseball, football, basketball, hockey and even NASCAR. And funny thing is, more kids play the game than little league, where as not to many years ago that wouldn't have been the case. I myself got interested in the game by a Dutch friend of mine in the mid 70's and have had a passion for it ever since. I played in a recreational league for a few years and was fortunate enough to play with an Englishman who was here for 2 years because of his job. He was a Man CITY fan and thus I learned more about the game. I have always loved the English league (first division/EPL) as well as European soccer in general. I attended the World Cup when it was here in '94, and the US fans did come out, but it was the hardcore ones who coached, or the young players themselves. I will say the atmosphere was exciting. I've seen Man U. and recently Real play here in L.A. I also had season tickets to the L.A. Aztecs when Michels was coach and Cruyff played, than they went So. American and the late Claudio Coutinho became there coach.
I look forward to the day I can travel to Europe and soak in the true excitement of the game and it's atmosphere........and, because of all this I now coach 8-9 year old boys and try to give them a little more passion for the game than my American counterparts who have nothing more to do with the game than coach.....I hope I didn't ramble or bore you.....

Oranjepalooza, you certainly dont bore me sir, and i should be back in California next year, i would be proud to join you and see how you develop the youngsters in your training programme if i can fit the time in .
