Preston manager Paul Simpson Revealed His two main Targets to add to his attacking options but both have decided against a move to Preston.
Nicklas Bendtner who has joined Birmingham onloan from Arsenal turned down a move to the North West in favour of the Midlands while Arturo Lupoli who is also a striker with the Gunners turned down a move in favour of fighting for a place in the Gunners First team.

Simpson admits that it is hard trying to find players better than the ones he has but is not giving up hope and will continue to find attacking options aswell as an experienced center half

Gotta say i am impressed with Simmo's ambition two very good young strikers he went for there. He is still hopeful of geting Lupoli as his choice of getting in the first team look very slim.

Is Simpson still not trying to get a few of our lads on loan? Know Ferguson likes loaning to the
Championship and David Jones proved to be popular with you lads.

He said before the Man Utd game that he was going to have a chat with Sir Alex about taking a few of the boys on loan. A striker is a must what kind of young boys do Utd have in that department apart from Rossi.

Not many too be honest. The fact that Rossi is in the first team squad proves that. Yeah, he's good but I don't know if he'll cut it this season. In the reserves, we've got a player called Frazier Campbell
(think he scored pre-season) and Febien Brendy. Ebanks-Blake was another but he's gone to Plymouth. All unproven though so it would be a risk!

Its not a good department to raid United on at the moment! Smile

Preston North End have agreed a fee with Ipswich Town for striker Sam Parkin.Parkin who has failed to settle in East Anglia and has been a target for the boo boys since his move from Swindon Town last season.
The fee which is in the region of £300.000 has also been agreed with Luton Town and it is now up to the player to make his mind up as to were he wants to try and revive his career.

Im not sure about this move myself he hasnt done owt at Ipswich and from what i have seen of him in the championship i dont think he is really going to cut it.
But hey is is only young and a move and a fresh start may get him going again.I wouldnt be sad if he whent to Luton tho there are alot better players out there.

Preston North End announced that club captain Graham Alexander has signed a new contract which will take him to the end of the 07/08 season and passed his testimonial which is great news.
Grezza was signed by former manager David Moyes for £50.000 way back in 1997 and he has proved to be one of the biggest bargains in the clubs history.he is one of the countrys most feared prnalty takers and can also take a wicked freekick.

Great news for all the fans at Preston he has been a great servant for the club and he is what football is all about.

David Nugent has defended his agent after Preston manager Paul Simpson blasted the agent saying that he was Filling Nugents head with idea's.
This comment comes after Nugent has decided not to extend his deal at the moment having still got 2 years to run on his current deal.

I have to say the i feel Nugents agent has had a say in this im not too bothered about Nuge not signing a new deal at the moment as it still has two years to run.

We all know what agents are like.

Preston North End have had a bid for Former captain Chris Lucketti rejected by Sheff Utd.Lucketti who joined the blades in the summer for £300.000 after spending the second part of last season onloan there.
Preston made the bid for Lucketti after losing the experience of Youl Mawene in the summer for the whole season but with the injury's that the blades have in the defence at the moment Neil Warnock had no choice but to keep hold of the 35 year old .

I have to say that i am very surprised we have tried to get him back after the way he treated us last season im glad he aint coming.

Knopper started his career at Ajax and spent a fair few seasons there he won the Mark Van Bsten young talent of the year or summat so sounds pretty good we will have to wait and see if Simmo gets them on board.

Preston North End today announced that planning permission for the final part of Deepdale had been granted.
Chairman Derek Shaw was delighted that the final part of Deepdale will be done and we can now have a stadium to be proud of.
What is left now is to finalise things with the bank and the PCT (Preston Primary Care Trust) who will have a drop in center at the front of the New stand.

Great news for us now the away fans can stop taking the "beep" out of us and singing we have only got 3 stands lol.

Prston North End have confirmed that midfielder Brian Stock is to join Doncaster Rovers on a months loan this afternoon.
Stock who burst on the scene with a man of the match performance last season on his debut against Millwall has only made 8 first team appearences since his move from bournmouth last season.
And the move means he is reunited with former boss sean o driscoll who has just been appointed the new manager at Donny.

Im pretty gutted as i think Stockey has been brilliant whenever he has played but the move will give him first team football and im sure he will come back ready to fight for a place in the first team.

Billy Davies admits he was disappointed at the reception he got from the Preston North End fans following Derby County's 1-1 draw with his former club at Pride Park.

Davies left North End in the summer to take the Derby hot-seat - but in his first game against Preston, he was lambasted throughout.

"I was disappointed by such a lack of respect," said Davies.

"I was expecting stick, but to be treated to such name-calling and chanting?

"I was probably one of the most successful managers at that club and I was very proud of what I achieved there with back-to-back play-offs and entertaining football.

"They have let themselves down because they are wonderful supporters and were a wonderful support to me while I was there.

"But one or two of them should think about getting the facts and them making comment.

"Now it's been transmitted to me that someone has accused me of inciting the crowd by celebrating our goal.

"One or two Preston fans went to a policeman and claimed I incited the crowd, but what am I supposed to do?

"Sit on the bench and do nothing?"

Preston boss Paul Simpson admits he has nothing against Davies - but he was merely civil to other member of the Derby staff who followed him from Deepdale including Julian Darby, goalkeeper coach Pete Williams, physio Andrew Balderston, two youth-team coaches and a scout.

"I shook hands with Billy Davies before the game, but why would I not?" he said.

"I have got nothing against Billy - it was not him who walked out on us a few days into pre-season training.

"I shook hands with the others at the end, as you would to be civil, but I have no reason to speak to them."

Simpson says he was happy to share the spoils.

"It was a rubbish game, but a good point for us," he said.

Brighton are still hoping to lure Preston's Danny Dichio to the Withdean.

The Seagulls have been chasing the giant hit-man for some and failed to sign him earlier this summer.

The League One outfit have continued to monitor Dichio and Brighton's chief scout Dean White has admitted they are still in talks regarding the former Queens Park Rangers man.

"We're still desperately trying to bring Danny in," White told the club's official website.

"It's an ongoing thing and I'm still talking to managers of other clubs."

Preston boss Paul Simpson, however, claims he has not heard from The Seagulls regarding Dichio.

"I haven't heard a thing from Brighton since the summer and I don't expect to," Simpson told the club's official website.

"Danny is an important part of our squad, as he has proved in recent weeks."

Preston have taken French defender Sofiane Zaaboub on trial.

North End have started the Championship season strongly but boss Paul Simpson is keen to strengthen his squad to maintain their push for promotion.

Simpson will run the rule over Zaaboub in Wednesday's reserve game against Carlisle, before assessing him in training to decide whether he makes the cut.

The 23-year-old left back made 20 appearances for FC Brussels last season, and has previously played for St Etienne and Modena.
