Kanoute: Sevilla can win Liga

Fredi Kanoute has declared Sevilla can win the Liga this season.

The UEFA and European Super Cup champions have started the season off superbly and Kanoute says: "What we cannot do is hide from these objectives. We are not going to say that we are going to win it, but will do the maximum during the season to be first in the table.

"We will play to win each game and we will see at the end of the championship what happens."

Kanoute added: "It is not madness to think that we can win the Liga. The test is that recently we have won two very important European titles. Surely we can make a surprise. Although I believe that it is early to speak now of these options. It will be necessary to hope."

Seasons are long and they will play UEFA and I don't think that they have 20 great players to resist during all the season to try to win La Liga. They have a good team but not 20 good players. And furthermore they have played against Levante and Real Sociedad, two teams that aren't the best of La Liga.

I think they will make the top 4 but they wont challenge for the title though. Mabye until Christmas they will be near the top but I think they will eventually fade away.

Maybe the 3rd place, after Barcelona and Valencia.

Maybe 4th after Real Madrid too

Its very tough to play league football and european and you need a fairly big squad of very good players to do so which unfortunately I dont think Sevilla have, plus I still hate them for beating boro
