Should all Welsh Football clubs be made to play in the Welsh Premier League, and if so, should Cardiff City, Wrexham, Swansea City, Colwyn Bay,Merthyr and Newport County be made to join.

If all six exile clubs did join would that make the league better, would support go up or worse still go down.

Just adding to what I've said elsewhere GWB, I'm definitely coming around to your way of thinking Wink

If Welsh soccer has any ambition, Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham need to stay in the Football League, AND try to be more competitive. They need to have a nucleus of Welsh players who are willing to die for their clubs, and get supporters from throughout their local area. For clubs like Merthyr and Newport, it's up to the clubs. Personally I'd like to see them in the Welsh League.

Best wishes to Barry FC this season by the way (!).

Hey St Paulianer - why not introduce yourself on the newcomer section and do the newcomer questionnaire?
Always nice to have someone adding a bit of Welsh interest Wink
We can chat more there Smile

i think they should stay because places like swansea and cardiff are cities and have a certain status which needs upholding. they need to be playing in these leagues, they are good enough, there's no question of that, and if they were forced to play in the welsh league they would lose a substantial amount of money and would not attract as many quality players. i wouldn't like to see welsh clubs completely isolated and restricted to only playing in the welsh league.
