M8 Lampard got the assist for the goal. Gerrard missed a golden chance. also lampard was getting stuck in. Still not playing well but he is doing ok. what did Stevie do?

As A general football fan who likes to watch any team play, i dont think you can compare the two players, GERRARD is a FAR better allround player, LAMPARD is a GOOD player in a GREAT team, were as GERRARD is a GREAT player in GOOD team

if both played for say SUNDERLAND, wich would have the most impact on the pitch, i think most football fans would say GERRARD.

as a chels fan i should say lamps, but i'll be honest and say that gerrard is the better all-round player. More of a leader, more box-to-box, and generally more of an athlete.

oh look at them quotes mikey, one from a Chelsea fan aswell. Gerrad gave more to the game than lampard did thats what he did

it was a lucky punt up field, typical lampard. doesnt do it with class like gerrard does - did you see that amamzing long 40 yard inch perfect pass to pennant - amazing!

But it's great Gerrard doing a 40 yard pass but it ment nothin.Drogba was all alone Lampard floated a ball Droba took it on his chest turned and then scored my friend. also Gerrard had a massive chance to score at the end but shot straight at Chech. poor shot

only meant nothing cos we cant score at the mo, that lead to kuyt hitting the bar, so very nearly did. get what your saying tho, you jus said what did gerrard do, and he did more than lamps, even tho lamps contrabution ended up being mor important. its a fine line.

lampards pass was hardly ment to end up like it did, if that was a ball he ment to play like that then it was lucky, the ball was lucky how it droped for drogba aswell, good goal i will give him that but still lucky how it came about

because you can do it 100 times in traning and it wont work once. You have a defender putting you under preasure, as many people have said to me, it WAS a freak goal

Mikey i think what your saying about Lamps having a better game than stevie is wrong. Yeah he set up the goal but that goal came out of absolutley nothing, it wasnt as tho it was a flowing move, more of a hopeful ball to Drogba. But Stevie looked sharp and if it wasnt for cech we would be talking about him scoring a goal.

But i didn't have to be a flowing move. a goal is a goal, sure you have said that in the past. m8 Gerrard Kick it straight at him it was a poor shot.

Basically, we won the game after having 10 men on the pitch for nearly the whole second half. Liverpool had chances to get something out the game and didnt take them. Therefore, we deserved our win.

dont agree, we deserved to win as we created the chances, but just didnt put them away.

you didnt really do anything to warrant a win. our finishing was just to poor, plus you never troubled us apart from the goal

I think the point here is that it was Drogba's control that made the pass look SO good rather than Lampard's brilliant "pass" that made it SO easy for Drogba to score.
