Now i dont know if anyone agrees with me but i have to be honest and say that i feel that this injury could have more say as to the performances and state of the table at the end of September than any new signing!

If he is out i fear that they at Chelsea will lose a little shape organisation and leadership and others can capitalise on that - he will miss a few games and they could be priceless in the long run!

What do you think!?!?>

He will be missed but i think Lampard can replace him as the team leader. But there are lots of replacements Chelsea have.

But not at centre half in his class - I think Carvalho is shaky and can be trounsed!

Huth is dominant but makes too many mistakes - and Gallas although quick has questionable control and passing ability - full backs ok but as far as a leader i feel that Lampard is too quiet!

I think huth should be played with terry for a few games to learn from him and get better. Mourinho could possibly do this in the cup and maybe give 16 year old scott sinclair a chance in midfield who they signed from bristol rovers.

I think sinclair is there to boost the reserve squad! lol but i think he will only be played against poorer teams. I havent heard much about him though! But on topic i think the best replacement will be Huth.

No i think they should have enough cover in Gallas Carvalho and Huth who are all good players.

i think Gallas can very competently take over the job of marshalling the defence, he is an accomplished player.

I'm totally surprised by some of the comments. John Terry is a stud, the best defender in England and arguably in all of Europe, and you guys make it sound it's no big deal, ah, Gallas, Carvalho, and Huth will cover. I hope they can also bring the leadership qualities he possesses that seem to be taken for granted here. He's too good not to be missed, and those other 3 are not near as good as him, and Chelsea wins games because of that defense of there’s. I don't expect them to fall on their faces by any means, but they will miss him, I think if you asked the players or Mourinho they would without hesitation tell you he'll be missed...............

So does anyone know how many premiership games he will miss after the International break?

From an August 31st newswire story:

"The doctors said they think he's out for at least four weeks."

In Europe, Terry will almost certainly miss Chelsea's opening group games at home to Anderlecht on September 13 and away to holders Liverpool on September 28.
