Yeah and for me. I didn't go to the snooker bit after.
Once the free bar had closed (ran out of drink), we left. |

I wonder if they will show the girls or just stay with Gary in the studio.

They should show the girls, am sure they will even if it's for 2 mins!
Last week on MOTD Gary said congrats to the girls and there was live footage of them celebrating in the changing rooms |

There was an article in a French paper about the game, I did not bother translating tool ong and too painful
all over England and it was a fair reward for England to qualify compared to us where women's football developpment is still embryonic. On the picth results we paid the price for being complacent against Holland at home and too defensive in the game at Blackburn Rovers. |

Did they show the lap of honour?
I ran in, all most tripping over, to get in and see the national anthems! |

I was at the game (what a laugh that was).
The girls got to come onto the pitch about 10 minutes before the game started. They walked onto the middle of the pitch had a picture or two, then came off. They got quite a good round of applause. There are also 3/4 pics/articles in the match programme which was good. You can usually buy the England magazine at WHSmith for those that would be interested. |

Thanks for the info lvblue.
I don't think letting the ladies on the pitch before the game was such a great idea after all. The men couldn't focus on their match properly and only have managed to draw 0-0 with.....Macedonia |

well done macedonia , i will get less stick on monday thanks to them

Bit gutting that the BBC didn't show the girls though

Oh! They didn't show it on TV

Don't you guys think the reason England played so poorly v Macedonia,
was the fact they introduced the Ladies before the game as those who qualified to the World Cup Finals? Maybe the boys remembered how bad they did at the last WC and wanted to do too well that night, to proove they are better than the girls? |
They probably felt humiliated knowing there was a better English XI out there
Well, I didn't say they were better, we don't know how will the Ladies do in the WC next year.
But maybe it did bring bad memories, showing them off like that, before the men's game I'm not saying the Ladies didn't deserve it though - they do deserve the recognition |

The ladies did get an away draw against a team ranked higher to qualify
Macedonia are ranked nearly 50 places below England men. |
