Can someone who watches Newcastle regularly explain to me why Alan O'Brien can make the Republic of Ireland bench but is not getting regular games at Newcastle? He has come on for Ireland in a few of our recent games and not done too badly ... why is he struggling for games at St James'?

because we are really strong in the midfield but personally i would like to see him play because he is a class young player who has bags of pace

yeh, he isnt good enough for our midfield, but is for the ireland line up. he is definatly a player we mst keep for the futureu.

There were a number of clubs after him on loan and full transfer deals but Glen said that he could not let anyone go with the squad being so small. Possibly get a few games in the near future.

He has had recent Injury problems also.
