Former Real Madrid director of football Arrigo Sacchi has revealed he tried to bring Francesco Totti to the Spanish giants.

Sacchi was in charge of transfers during his time at El Santiago Bernabeu and Roma ace Totti was one of his top targets.

However, Sacchi was unable to lure Totti to El Santiago Bernabeu despite all his efforts.

"I pushed a lot to sign Totti," Sacchi told Play Radio. "I looked at him until February.

Totti has endured a slow start to the season, but former Italy coach Sacchi has backed the World Cup winner to be back to his best soon.

"But I'm sure we will come back soon seeing the sensational Totti that we know", added Sacchi.

Real already holds 2 walking deads in its team (Raul and Cassano) why they'd need Totti then?

faster?! Razz

btw dont u think real has way too many forwarders? now, for the sake of the young ones (walking dead included) wouldnt it be better send them somewhere else, at least they could keep fit...as far as i know cassano is only earning money and kilograms sitting in the bench...

Yeah it's sure they have too much forwards but when they wanted him there wasn't Capello yet..
Cassano, from what I know, was a starter at the beginning of the season then Capello dropped him for Robinho

sure i did...i'm not talking of the "early" raul but just of his last years...i liked him a lot when he was younger, i really couldnt understand why on earth he didnt win any golden ball...same i felt for del piero they had pretty similar trends i guess...both had important injuries and since years they dont look the same - at least from my eyes Wink

Yes, but I mean this season. Raśl and Robinho are by far the best these days in the team. Raśl is playing an excellent football and has scored 5 goals in the last 5 matches he has played (eventhough he's not a centre forward). Last season was terrible for him, but he's getting as good as he was. Still needs time, but he has already proved that this season Very Happy
