How do other Toon fans see the game going. I think we will struggle but I think we may surprise the Italians by grinding out a 1-1 draw. One thing I dont like Roeder saying is that if we win both home games we should be through, it seems to me with him saying that, that he doesn't expect us to get much away from home and thats not good as he's the manager he should be inspring the side and fans with confidence. I think its a blow that Rossi is out as he has impressed me loads recently. 1-1 is my hopeful prediction.

Just read on the nufc webby that Luque is starting.

i would love it if he scored, or if his goal won the match. he has to prove himself, and this should be the chance to prove what he can do.

shola and martins injured, rossi inelegible, so he has to start really

I could see us testing them even with some of players missing, proberly 1-1 or 2-1 to us or them, depends if we get some luck infront of goal.

I dont think Luque has been given a fair chance, just a game here or there and what do all players need/want a run in the team in there favourite position and Albert hasn't had that yet. I hope he does well, whether he comes goo or not in England remains to be seen but he certainly is an awesome player. Just look at some of what he did in Spain. He's pure class.

ye m8. heres the line up and subs:-

Krul

Ramage
Moore
Bramble
Taylor

Solano
Emre
N'zogbia
Milner
Butt

Luque

Subs- James Troisi, Andy Carroll, Pattison, Sibierski, Bernard, Huntingdon, Harper.

not a bad line up i think, defence is normal, we always have spare and decent midfields, and we just lack up front. should be a good chance to see krul for the first time

Well done Newcastle a great result instead of saying why were Palermo crap maybes you should credit the Toon and say that we made them look average. We were outstanding the back 4 excellent especially Moore Krul in goal Man of the match 3 world class saves commanded his box well he has a great future thats for sure. Also Albert took his goal nicely hopefully he will kick on from here and Milner Emre and in particular Butt were superb lets hope its a turning point in our season and that we can kick on and turn around our league results. We are a cup team at the momment.

well well well, what can i say!

i cant even begin to say how relieved, impressed and happy i am about the result tonight.

first of all, the goal came from the man everyone was doubting tonight - mr luque!

second, i cudnt have been happier with the defence, and that man Krul. every single defender was superb, and krul is such a great keeper, never realised he had that sort of talent!

lastly, if roeder even dreams of selling milner in januray, then i will personally kill him. that guy is something else. another great europe match for him.

i cudnt believe we had just beat the team who is theoreticaly the second best team in italy! ok they didnt have there strongest team out, but neither did we. mighty result for us. just keep them coming!

I still think Glenn will sell Milner however I really hope he stays as he along with Nzogbia are the great future of our club. He is awesome and that cross was world class. He should stay but like I say I think unfortunately he ill leave though I will be furious if he does leave the club.
