i think the only team who have a particularly tough night ahead are Newcastle. cant see us, Blackburn or rangers losing these sorta home ties.

Yeah and if you's win then the 3 of you's are all but through. Toon have a tough game but I am hopeful that we will sneak a point back to St james Park.

Newcastle have a massive task to get a point, though all depends on how much value palermo place on the cup.
For the rhyming guide to the cup check out [Link removed] goodluck to the english sides hopefully they can fix the problems of the weekend.

Hafia are a good side they played well against Liverpool and ive seen a few more of their games in the Isreali league and they really arent slouches i think they will beat Rangers 2-0 or 2-1 iam not say that as a Tim but a football fan.

Newcastle are resting alot of players and Palmero are in fine form in the cup and league so i cant see it being a good night for the toon 3-1 Palmero

If Basle are the same team they were a few years ago i can see them nicking a draw or a tight win if Blackburn play like they did on Sunday.

Spurs out of all the british teams i think have the best chance of winning and I have them down as 2-0 winners.

Well done Newcastle a fabulous result and a great team performance. Tim Krul was outstanding he commanded his box exceptionally well and he made 3 top draw saves. Also Moore and the whole back 4 were solid Butt bar 1 first half error was excellent Emre played really well as did Milner who was great and Albert took his goal well. Well done lads and we have tonight at least proved the critics/dobuters wrong. Keep that sort of performance/result up. Do you guys think that this year at least that we will be a cup team.

well well well, what can i say!

i cant even begin to say how relieved, impressed and happy i am about the result tonight.

first of all, the goal came from the man everyone was doubting tonight - mr luque!

second, i cudnt have been happier with the defence, and that man Krul. every single defender was superb, and krul is such a great keeper, never realised he had that sort of talent!

lastly, if roeder even dreams of selling milner in januray, then i will personally kill him. that guy is something else. another great europe match for him.

i cudnt believe we had just beat the team who is theoreticaly the second best team in italy! ok they didnt have there strongest team out, but neither did we. mighty result for us. just keep them coming!

Tom I think all Toon fans ares pleasently surprised/delighted. I didn't even expect that. Lets hope we can get some momentum going and turn over the Blades on Saturday evening.

well what a night to be a supporter of a british team in europe! great results for all 4 teams, especially Newcastle who i thought wouldnt take any points from Italy, let alone all 3.

nice to see luque playing and scoring too and francis jeffers getting off the mark for Blackburn.

Great night for english football.
