Short presentation

Dinamo Bucuresti is one of the most successful Romanian football clubs in the country. They are one of the three major teams from the Romanian capital, Bucharest.

The team's colours are red and white and the club's symbol has two red dogs on it. We are known as "The Red Dogs" in Romania because of the dogs from our symbol. Actually they represent two brothers who used to play for us some decades ago, the Nunweillers; they were referred to as "dogs" because of their attitude in the field and due to the fact they always had a red face from the effort the nickname came...

They are also the first Romanian team to achieve a place in the semifinals of the European Champions Cup with Liverpool in 1983-1984. Also, we played a semifinal of UEFA Cup with Anderlecht in 1989-1990.

Dinamo is the last team to have won both the Romanian Championship and the Romanian Cup, a feat which was achieved in the 2003-04 season.

In the 2005/06 UEFA Cup season, Dinamo advanced to the group stages after they defeated Everton F.C. with a 5-2 aggregate win in the first round. In the group stage they played with Olympique Marseille, CSKA Moscow, Heerenveen and Levski Sofia, but they failed to qualify to the next stage of the competition.

You'll find some pics with us here, players and supporters:

just in case you're interested. The menu is pretty much self explanatory, although in Romanian.

I have to single out one of them though, as we're very proud of that moment:

(we've managed to burn Steaua's stadium in a derby in ''97

The club's "Nuova Guardia" "ultras" group is one of the first groups of this sort in Romania, it was founded in 1992. Today, the club's strongest "ultras" group is known under the name of Peluza Catalin Hîldan, taken from the name of the stand where the group is located.
We are known for loving Catalin Hildan, a very young player who died on the field in 2000 in a practice match. Our main terrace now proudly wears his name, "Peluza Catalin Haldan" or PCH, the latter also being the name our main supporters group. One of the reason I hate many of our rivals is because they used to curse him after his death. For instance, Steaua, our main rival, started to sing "Catalin, muie Catalin" ("muie" is a term meaning something as close as possible to a blowjob) in the first derby after his death, just moments before we've scored a goal practically from the middle of the field. Some people say that was Hildan's touch. The match ended 1-0...

hhmmmm, are Spurs played out side the Island in tle past 7 years? I know that last maych in Europe for Spurs was in 04.11.1999, with Kaiserslautern, 0-2.
Do you know Everton? Probably yes, it was the team which beat you home in august with 2-0. If you know, we beat Everton last year with 5-1 in Bucharest and in England, Everton-Dinamo only 1-0, and Everton stayed home. remember?

You have beat Brugge, and we have beat Besiktas. You are in top of the groupe, we are behind you. I hope both of our teams will go in the spring.
