Mansfield have agreed a deal to re-sign Hucknall Town striker Danny Bacon.
The ex-Stags trainee, 24, impressed boss Carlton Palmer in Sunday's FA Cup Trophy final, which the Conference South side lost on penalties.
Palmer told the Nottingham Evening Post: "He did well, looked fit and strong, and had a good attitude.
"We have agreed a deal that means he will be earning less, but he wants to get back into League football and he is Mansfield through and through."
Bacon left Field Mill for Hucknall in 2003 after playing 56 games for Mansfield, scoring five goals.
