Was this victory greater than that of Manchester United, back in 1999 (2 goals in final minute for those who dont remember it)

Jerzy Dudek saved two penalties in the shoot-out as Liverpool were crowned European champions in dramatic fashion.
Paolo Maldini volleyed Milan ahead after just 50 seconds while Hernan Crespo scored twice to put the Italians 3-0 up at the break.

Steven Gerrard headed a reply, Vladimir Smicer fired the second and Xabi Alonso equalised after his penalty was saved.

Serginho fired his penalty over the bar and Dudek denied Andrea Pirlo and Andriy Shevchenko to secure the trophy.

Who would have thought it, the kop have actually pulled it off...

It was a better comeback as it was 3-0 instead of 1-0.
1999 is still my favourite sports moment ever though.

It is an outstanding acheivement, I think the only difference is Uniteds come on the back of the double, which really was amazing, and the way they ended the game was awesome.

Liverpools was great, but that shootout could have gone either way. Shootouts are a lottery.

I beleive Liverpool deserved that VICTORY but the shocking news is only TOMASSON and Kaká scored for AC MILAN in the penalties which is just unbeleiveable.

I was expecting Serginho to score not BLAST the ball over the bar.

In all my 24 years of watching football i have never and will probably never witness a game like this one again. I really expected Shevchenko to score his penalty.

3 goals in six minutes is amazing, let alone doing it in the biggest game of your career! For that reason YES!

The penalty shootout is a lottery however, a lottery that was tipped in Liverpools favour by Dudeks cheating among other things.

cheating....wow, that's pretty harsh.....and of course, no other goalie has ever done it, especially Dida, but there's not enough room to list all those that have 'cheated' with Dudek..... Smile

I dont think calling it cheating is a bit harsh at all cos thats what breaking the rules is, its cheating.

It probably is a bit harsh to single him out for it tho, as you say, cos lots of keepers do it.

Fair enough, im not calling him a bad guy or anything, or inherently dishonest.

But...Smile...as a professional goalkeeper he will definitely know the rules governing his behaviour during a penalty shootout and he broke these rules in order to gain an unfair advantage, this is why i said he cheated, in that instance.

The best night of my life.....
it will take a lot to beat that too....

Liverpool were dreadful in first half and superb in second, but who cares we did it lol....they're all legends now......
Not just 3 goals in 6 minutes in the Champions League final, but against the might of AC Milan,wow....
And i can't wait to go and see the trophy alongside the other 4...
