It did not take long for the Dutch ace to get his name on the score-sheet after netting on 12 minutes before adding a second before the half hour mark.

Van Nistelrooy completed a fine hat-trick with a fine left-footed finish that got the better of Ricardo to sneak inside the near post.

Naldo did pull one back for Osasuna after the break, but van Nistelrooy had the last laugh with his fourth after 84 minutes.


8 goals in 9 appearances in La Liga and 3 in 4 in the Champions League, any doubters that he has had can now firmly shut their mouths. Past it? Hahaha, this man is a [beep!] legend!

There was never any doubt in my mind that he'd adjust well to the Spanish league (unless he was injured or something).

One of the top strikers in the world this decade and perhaps the most consistent.

Great performance from Ruud! I'm happy for him, the last one was pure class Cool

However, he has scored his 8 goals in La Liga only in 3 matches (3 against Levante, 4 against Osasuna and 1 against Barcelona).
