After a shocking defeat to the Gunners yesterday, even I, a fan who has the most respect for Rafa, is starting to question rafa's ability as a Premeirship manager. I mean Benitez is excellent in European competetion, Champions League is a reflection, but is the manager alot like the kind of players who only perform in europe, the biggest culpret being Luis Garcia? Now, for me I believe something needs to be done. We need to forget about contential competetion, and seriosuly put out heads into the Premiership. I for one can't wait another 5 or 6 years before we are contenders again.

Regards,

Downhearted Pool Fan Rob

After 61 minutes yesterday, 2 nil down in our 5th straight away defeat of the season, settling in nicely to our new accolade of being the WORST team in the WHOLE league away from home, Rafa seemed to realise what 99.9 percent of all football fans on this planet see and puts Gerrard in the centre. What is this guy doing starting with Zenden in the middle? I bet Wenger and his boys were laughing when they saw the name of the Barcelona and Chelsea Reject as our midfield linchpin. I mean he has got an argument with Sissoko but not with Zenden I'm afraid, its an insult ! What is he trying to say, that Zenden is a better centre midfielder than Gerrard ? Sure, you can't blame this lame and inept performance solely on that decision, but a centre mid pairing of Zenden and Alonso ? Against Fabregas and Gilberto, they [beep!] all over them. I cannot for the life of me understand why he waits until we are 2 nil behind before he changes it ? How bad does the situation have to be to warrant a change in his plans ? Rafa is way too stubborn for his own good, and people are now starting to realise what I have suspected for a while now that he will never play Gerrard in his best position because it would mean admitting he was wrong and he will never do that. I wonder where Mr Wenger or Ferguson or Mourinho would play our best player ? In the interview before the game when asked directly where he would play there was almost a nervous laugh from him as he said 'on the right!' What was even more laughable was that he insisted this was an attacking formation !! Surely our most effective attacking set up has Gerrard running the game from the middle ? Terrible !

Notice how the Villa result and for that matter, the last couple of Everton games aint mentioned? Just goes to show that Everton supporters are more bothered about Liverpool's bad run rather than their own team.

Shame that...
