Carrick is immense; his positioning, passing, awareness and discipline are superb. Is it a coincidence that Scholes, Ronaldo, Giggs and Rooney are playied SO well?

While Carrick is a decent passer, I still don't think he was worth the 18.6 million price tag.

the transfer fee is just a sign of the times, i dont think he's a keane replaced not sure hes got the right strenghts (leader ship skills) more a scholes replacement in the long run.

IMO he is the most complete/balanced midfielder Man Utd have. He has the right balance between attack and defence. He has proved over the last season or two that he has a toughness about him but also that he can create and dictate attacking moves. Hopefully he will be able to get 10+ goals next season, as when paired with hargreaves, he could have more license to get forward. I'd like to see scholes get used less in the premiership and saved more for europe. IMO out of scholes, hargreaves and carrick it will be carrick that will play in the most games.
