Helsingborg have invited Barcelona to make an offer for striker Henrik Larsson.

While publicly insisting they will not make any signings in January, Barca's board have drawn up a three-man shortlist as they plan to add a new striker to Frank Rijkaard's squad.

Larsson, Newcastle's Alberto Luque and Boca Juniors striker Rodrigo Palacio are the three players under consideration.

Helsingborg sports director Bo Nilsson said yesterday: "Barcelona is in another financial world in respect to us. If we strictly watch the business from the financial point of view, a transfer would be very attractive to us."

Out of the three potenial targets i could not see them resigning Larsson. He went out with a high winning La Liga and CL trophy, so i doubt he would want to leave Sweden, for probably only a 6 month deal.

Barça's president and general manager said that wouldn't sign anybody. And I read an interview to Larsson and he said that if Barça were interested in him for 6 months he could come because now swedish league has finished. But I don't think that Barça sign a player. Perhaps Giovanni dos Santos could play some minutes if Marquez has the spanish nationality soon.

I have mentioned it somewhere. A wounded lion is always welcomed to rip Real apart. Just have a glimpse a Etoo. Razz
As I really want Larsson back in Barcelona, for his own good I think he is better for him not coming back.
He went out very high, with Ligua and CL. After all he has given to us, I would like to see him finish his career in sweden and remember the great exit from other European leagues.

LOL

When he was in Rome, we never heard he was so problematic here Laughing

However, when he came to Madrid, suddenly everyone said he was not a good guy, although very talented. What did he do over there, GoBAti?? Laughing

There is a big problem here.
Messi is out.
Eto'o is out.
Saviola is out.

Leaving Gudjohnsen, who is good dont get me wrong there, but he is too slow.
And leaving Ezquerro.

They should have added Dos Santos onto the team, but they have chosen to leave him out, I have no idea why. The little kid is the next Pele, you should have seen him against the Dutch teams in the Barcelona Tour. The guy is amazing.

Larsson stated this "Nobody has got in contact with me from Barcelona, I still have a contract there, and if they require me I will be glad to help them out"

Dos Santos can't pla because the are only aloud i think it's 3 non EU players in the team and if the added him the would have 4. But Marquez is getting a Spanish citizanship soon so dos Santos can be added to the team.

He quarreled with all the managers we've had in these past seasons (Capello, Del Neri Laughing , Conti, Voeller, Spalletti) he got kicked out of the squad several times before his decision to leave for his ambitions and his thoughts of being better than Totti. And he joined the most prestigious club of the world to prove that hes better than our Captain, playing for them Laughing .

I ask to you Real Madrid fans: did he do it? LOL

What???!!!
Is that true?
Wow, you learn something new everyday! Razz
That is such a bad rule.
Arsenal is made up of 99% non-british players.
So is Chelsea, and yet they make a rule that is you are non-european you have a smaller chance of being in the team? Psche, some football rules have clearly not been thought over.

I think there's a similar rule in Italy and a few other countries. But it is a bit of a bad rule but then again it does help develop young players from that country and other european countries.

Don't think dos Santos is a solution...he's too young to be a real solution in CL or in Primera.
I've read here about the possibility of Luque coming to Barca. I would love that, cause I really liked him when he was at Deportivo.

Dos Santos will make his debut soon, then you'll all see how good he is. He's said to be better than Messi..

Neither Dos Santos, Luque or Robinho are the solution though since we need a striker, no winger. Larsson would be decent for the time being, although he probably lacks match fitness.
